He will end up with the Lakers. Knicks wouldn't mind Gasol since he's expiring. Lakers may have to bring another team to get NY a draft pick or two. Melo has all the leverage. All of the Knicks moves are blowing up in their face. Unprotected draft picks in 2014 and 2016, over the cap even without Melo and the potential to get nothing if they let Melo walk away or overpay him with a Max Contract to keep him.
I don't know why Lakerfan wants this piece of cancer, but I hope he goes there.

Don't see it either. Better to sit this offseason out if they can't get a legit piece to build around, and 30 year-old whiner Carmelo isn't much of a prize anymore. I could see it if the Lakers' TV deal wasn't for 20 years, but with that taken care of they can afford to suck for 3-4 years to allow them to legitimately rebuild the way they did in '96.
They'd rather spend that money on a perennial All Star rather than bring 2 solid players. Go big or go home is their motto.
