Though Pau has never won a single playoff game without Kobe holding his hand.
Hypocrisy at it's finest, Kobe hasn't won a playoff series either without you know who. Nary that you parroting Kobe shirtlifter.

"nothing but score" was actually VERY valuable in a spurs-pistons series. he came up big in game 7, which weighed heavily with me. duncan struggled really bad in that series offensively. he pretty much tried to give game 5 away, but Bob wouldn't let him
Ultimate point is Manu had little impact on the defensive end since he was hidden on Prince (an average offensive player) while Bowen was tasked with guarding Hamilton/Billups, so he had more energy for offense. Duncan was in the trenches against the league's best defensive player and Rasheed, a great post defender in his own right. Short of Shaq, put any other big from that time (KG, Amare, Brand, Yao) in there and the Spurs probably get swept.

And think about this, Shaq, still near prime, averaged only 7.6 boards against the Pistons in the series prior (ECF).

Manu was definitely the offensive MVP, but I don't think anyone can argue that he was the overall MVP.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Timmy guy, and he did work on the other end (and was still the leading scorer to boot). I guess a lot of Tim's contributions were subtle, and I was admittedly 13 during that Finals, so I probably didn't appreciate those as much. i just remember the turning points of the games/series and it was rarely tim at the forefront of those

Duncan's 05 FMVP is possibly the worst one since cornbread's 81 FMVP tbh

    21 ppg on 47%TS LOL

    Ginobiliiiiiiiii! 19 ppg on 64%TS

Duncan was arguably outplayed by teammates Manu and Parker for 2 Finals wins while Kobe was outplayed by Shaq.
lol no. Duncan outrebounded both Wallaces combined in one of those games, and oh yeah he was being guarded by possibly one of the greatest defensive PF/C combo in NBA history so I'll give him a pass. And lol using TS% on a big man who shoots ~70% from the line and shoots no three pointers to try to make it seem worse. Your idol has shot 38%, 40%, and 42% in his last three appearances

Manu was offensively the best performer of that series, but bad news for him was that there was only one D'Antoni in the league back then
