PJ is wrong. In the 2011/2012 season the Spurs were 4-0 against OKC in the regular season. Then in the playoffs that year, with a great deal of referee love, the Thunder eliminated the Spurs.
Spurs were 2-1 against OKC in 2011-12.
Pretty much. I think that 98 was more like >99. Also don't forget all the regular season stats for champions we've been busting.
I wonder how many of those teams that were swept in the RS finished with the HCA over the team that swept them, and the best record in the league. It's not surprising that a true 1st seed would beat a true 8th seed, and have swept them in the RS meetings.
I'm not really afraid of the Heat, IMO, the Thunder are a much worse matchup for us. I pretty much expected the Heat to come out of the East mostly unscathed (perhaps the Pacers will take them to 6).
And luckily, both the Thunder and Heat have regressed since our last meetings with them while we've improved.
My thoughts exactly. On the other hand, Pop never really likes to show his hand in the regular season. He didn't play a complete lineup against the heat last year in the regular season and it payed off in the playoffs. We pretty much won the championship last year. Except we didn't. Maybe it's wishful thinking but I think The Spurs still have some tricks up their sleeve's and will pull it off. Go Spurs Go.
Keep believing in CIA Pop.
I don't think Miami cared about that stat the last series, nor should the Spurs.
Post more tbh
