I don't understand why Kobefan groups his 2000 role with his 2001 and 2002 roles..

Kobe was an elite player in 2001 and 2002, but not even close in 2000..

Thats exactly my point, finals mvp was always pretty overrated. It's not I that choses to discredit a player of his generation type for not being finals mvp, thats spur fan logic.
No, Kawhi did play like the Finals MVP, and guess what? He led the Spurs in win shares in the regular season as well.

Vs. Kobe who NEVER led the Lakers in regular season WS in any of the championship seasons.

Also, not a coincidence the Spurs went into a slump with Kawhi out of the lineup, and lost the only game in the Finals with Kawhi in foul trouble.

We don't need to, Tammy has already surpassed Kirby in that category before. Time to pass the torch.

I love how people crucify Kobe for not being finals mvp those 3 times. Some even dare to say he wasnt truly FMVP in 09-10, of course those people have tiny asian eyes. Yet, Jim winning somehow counts just as much as any other ring all of a sudden?

I personally think it counts, but I always cracked up at the idea that Kobe didnt deserve those 3 since he was only option 1b.
You're comparing prime Kobe to about to retire Tim.
