This is a good opportunity for the Spurs to perhaps push against the grain/what they usually do. They could reach up and poach a player if many teams seem to be fleeing the rookie scale of the late first round. A player like Kyle Anderson, for example, or Clint Capela.
This is another reason I think they could move up this year.

I seriously doubt all the international prospects are off the board at #30, so that's where I'd expect the Spurs to go...but if they were all gone that means some decent domestic talent has fallen. Could Kyle Anderson be available? He'd be a very Spurs-type pick. Always interesting to see it unfold.

Fwiw, my pick is still Inglis if he's there...followed by Jokic or Bogdanovic if not. The first domestic guy I'd see them taking is Robinson III, assuming a guy like Anderson hasn't fallen.

I suspect his crew senses he is slipping so they trying to go for that guaranteed money with the Spurs in the first.

McDaniels is a great athlete who plays good D but has limited offense. But he doesn't seem like the type of guy the Spurs would draft, personality-wise. If they want to go that rout, they would likely go with Thanasis Antetokounmpo. Very similar players but Antetokounmpo is a better shooter and the type of blue-collard hard worker that PATFO like.

    ...

Rivers has potential but having Ryan Anderson on our team would be insane. What would we have to offer?

ESPN just said the Pels were rebuffing calls about Anderson. Not that that means a whole lot, but still. I wonder what they'd get for them.

Rivers would fit well next to Manu, just like Mills he's more of a small SG than a point...

I'd do Beli for Rivers and future seconds in an heartbeat tbh...

We have nothing to offer, but I'd take both Rivers and Anderson. They'd fit well.

Like him for what? So you could pay him 2.4 million to shoot 39%?
