Danyo, just listen to Smeagol on this one.
Where are most Argentines' ancestors from? Europe.
Where are most of any "american" white person's ancestors from? Europe.
I think this happened last year very few times. But I remember watching some games and thinking put in all the non-black playas!! It could have happened.
Danyo, just listen to Smeagol on this one.
Where are most Argentines' ancestors from? Europe.
Where are most of any "american" white person's ancestors from? Europe.
Argentinian explains WHERE he is from. It's his nationality, not race.
Manu is none of those.
The bottom line is, all of Manu's and Fabri's ancestors are from Europe, and they had white colored skin.
What's your deffinition of white?
Obviously? Hmm, then I wonder why there's so much arguing going on....
Let me simplify (dumb it down) for you. I would rather not call someone just white, I would rather call them Argentinian or Russian or Italian, get it?
I wouldn't want to just "throw her in the white pool", I'd rather show her the respect to her heritage and call her either British or Argentinian, whichever she prefers...
Truce?
I concur. I thought this was about Rodney White too...
what if she prefers "white"?I wouldn't want to just "throw her in the white pool", I'd rather show her the respect to her heritage and call her either British or Argentinian, whichever she prefers...
so be it, but i for one would prefer to be called Italian, or Russian, or something more specific. But to each his own.
People really need to get over this subject.
The original starter of thread wasn't trying to start a race war. He was just saying - hey look - the Spurs could have five guys with white skin on the floor on the same time this season -- which is unusual in the NBA. So stop getting into a whole melodramatic, semi-political, race relations discussion.
It was just a comment. It would be like me starting a thread saying -- Wow, the Spurs have five guys with green eyes that could play at the same time this year (if that were true). Or saying -- Hey look, the Celtics have five redheads.
It's just a category of a physical attribute - white skin. Get over it.
And to answer the original question in this thread, I think the Jazz have had five guys on the floor with white skin at the same time pretty often over the years.
It would give me a chance to bring back the "white boy brigade" cheer from the early 90's! In those rare times when Zarko, Brick and Uwe Blab were on the floor...Uwe...talk about your human victory cigar!![]()

How about 5 redheads with green eyes, buck teeth, and six toes on their left foot... now THAT would be unique!
Not sure about Oberto, but Manu is of Italian stock, even though he lives in an Hispanic country. I've always considered Italians "white".
I don't care if the dude is from freakin' Mars! He's awesome!![]()

Lol, waly didn't mean to start any controversy, he just pointed out a curious fact. Full stop.
Wtf!?
BARRY'S NOT WHITE!!!!!
![]()
i'll join you..........![]()
There is so much arguing because the only one supporting your side of the argument is yourself. If you just say, "I made a mistake, Manu and Fabri are white" then the argument is over.
Dumb it up, dumb it down, do whatever you want. Your argument is still flawed.
And what the has this to do with the "Manu is not white" statement you posted earlier?
Do you understand the differnece between race and nationality?
A guy from Russia is a Russian but he can also be white. Same thing is true for a guy from Argentina (Manu's case), Perú, Chile, Mexico, etc. You can even be from the Congo, Kenya or Uganda and still be white.
Now I will dumb it down for you: Would you say Robert de Niro, Tony Danza, Al Pacino (Huuaa!), Rudolph Guiliani, Joe Montana, Mario Andretti, Jennifer Capriati, Sofia Loren, Marisa Tomei, Fracis Ford Coppola, Joe Pesci, Henry Mancini, Lou Costello, Dan Marino, Leonardo Di Caprio, Sly Stallone, Paul and Mia Sorvino, Lou Ferrigno (the Incredible Hulk), John Travolta, Alyssa Milano (mega babe!), the Fondas, Lee Iacocca, Vinnie Testaverde, Jay Leno, Liza Minnelli, Martin Scorsese and Frank Sinatra are all what race? . . . white?
BINGO! Same logic applies to Manu and Oberto. Italians migrating to the US and having kids produced the people in my list above. Italians migrating to Argentina and procreating produced Manu, Oberto and millions of other WHITE Argentines descendants from Italians.
Sure.
Sorry Kori, its the offseason. Not much to argue about.![]()
i give up, i try to dumb it down and smeagol still doesn't get what i'm trying to say, I said that I, emphasis on the I, wouldn't consider Manu or Fabri white, I don't care what you would call them, I I I I I, get it yet? I wouldn't, you would, get over it, I hope you don't really think you would convince me other wise? if so, sigh...
Oh I wouldn't really mind the topic, if I hadn't read it all already. We just rehashed it for countless pages in the "hispanic" thread not long ago. Maybe a new senseless topic would make good reading. Go start one![]()
The Spurs have to many white guys and not enough brothas who can dunk emphatically.
Pop hates black ballas.
Don't worry Danyo, I give up too. You have an opinion, I have come up with many arguments to prove you wrong, but you are way to stubborn to admit your mistake.
I guess my last point would be: Manu's skin is ing white. Oberto skin is also f-u-c-k-i-n-g- w-h-i-t-e (there I have dumb it down again, just so you can get it). That's why they are white. Anybody with half a brain can see it.
But if it makes you feel better, call them yellow, or red.
Don't tempt me Kori, I can come up with some lame ass topics when bullied![]()
I was thinking about starting a poll: Is Manu white? Yes or No.![]()
