Wiggins is the real deal imho but I highly doubt he can make any difference to the wolves which've been well known a ty franchise. Wiggins will shine as a player but the team will still suck, with 1st round being the ceiling

They still owe PHX their first rounder their 1st rounder (top 12) protected for '15 and 16. That shouldn't be much of an issue though this season though.

Moving Pekovic to a team like Phoenix for Len, & the Lakers top 5 pick makes plenty of sense. They could have two lottery picks in the '15 draft. Its not like they are going to make the post season this year anyway.

They have a couple of young prospects and some solid pieces mixed with a bunch of scrubs. You're crazy if you think they can win now.
They are probably in the bottom 3rd of the league, probably 18-20 teams better than them.

No one considered nuggets as legit contenders. This roster aint even making top 10 in the west imho.

Wiggins and Dieng are decent to good defensive prospects. The problem isn't talent. It's that there is only one player who's better than average and a whole bunch of guys who don't compliment him at all.

    And of course, Flip Saunders.

The Thad trade just looks idiotic. I've never seen a team burn assets the way Minnesota has over the past few years. The saddest part about that is that that means they'll probably get nothing out of any of the talent they've acquired.
Perhaps I'm overrating Thad Young, or underrating Miami's 2015 pick, but I think it was a no-brainer for MInny to get him for spare parts and a pick likely to be in the 20s, that's 30 cents on the dollar. Yes, he's most likely not staying there beyond this season, but it's possible that he'd be a good trading chip at the deadline if he performs well and they could potentially get better value for him. Clippers need a guy like him off the bench badly and it's not just them.

I wonder who hates Lebron the most on that roster, Wiggins or Panthro?

They have a logjam in a couple of positions. If I were the Wolves, I'd try to move Pekovic and Martin for future picks.

LOL, what? Westbrook was an elite defensive player in college and way more talented offensively too. 's like calling Alex Len the second coming of Tim Duncan.
i'm not saying he will be as good as him, not even close, don't worry . But his game resembles him, that's clear.

Their ceiling is 11th in the West, and that's if teams like the Nuggets, Pelicans, or Kings go into freefall. I only see the Lakers and Jazz as being clearly worse than these Wolves.

Unless Bennett/Wiggins/Lavine all turn out to be good and Rubio learns how to shoot and Pekovic/Martin learn to play defense, they look pretty worthy on paper tbh

I'd say Miami's pick is likely to be in the teens. If I recall correctly, Toronto picked at 20 this year, and they finished third in the East. There's a great chance Miami finishes below fourth, even though they could surprise people in the playoffs and make the ECF, in my opinion.

As far as Young goes, the Sixers couldn't get a first for him last year when he has three years on his deal and was in the middle of a great season. The only reason they got one now is that Minny finally got a pick they could trade and after they had already got two first-overall picks. I don't think it's very guaranteed at all that they'll be able to move him when they need realize they have no need for him. Instead they'll make Bennett their new Derrick Williams.

You guys are not giving this team enough credit...

I predict (if healthy) this team should make it to ATLEAST 6, 7 or 8th best

it's like when you're playing NBA live Dynasty mode you stock up on talents at one position so you can later trade them for a few superstars, not sure if it works in the real world though.
