Screw him with that at ude. If he really wants to play for the Spurs, he'll have to prove himself first - whether that's in D-League or somewhere else.

He destroyed the rest of his draft class stat wise in a compe ive game. He's definitely already proved he belongs at the NBA level. If he didn't have that injury, he would be with the team already.

You get paid better, living conditions are better, and you get much better compe ion in Europe. Why would you trade all that in for a worse situation, and an opportunity to stunt your growth.


I don't think he's being stuck up, if you see his interviews he seems like a real down to earth kid. I believe he's just intelligent.

I've heard they make about $25,000 so it would be about to $480. That wouldn't be what he would get payed ,though. It would be around $980,000.

Yeah. I don't think LJC was talking about d-league pay. It's possible, though, since he may not understand that players sent down get paid their normal wage. I think he just means he doesn't want to play most of his games in Austin. De Colo was the same way. The difference is that Nando is a fine European player, whereas Jean-Charles is a lower-level prospect. He'll have to get lucky to have a major role on the team next year.

I don't think he expects a major role, just that he develops in San Antonio. I think DeColo expected more than that, like rotation minutes instead of the cleanup duty he ended up with.

Some of De Colo's expectations came from Pop, who basically said that he was the backup PG before the '13 playoff and then went with Cojo.
