Republicans will say they believe in those things but that it should be voluntary and not government-mandated.
sucking Saul's from Romans rather than admit it's a contradiction.
Republicans will say they believe in those things but that it should be voluntary and not government-mandated.
By saying voluntary, you're implying it's optional. So you're saying Republicans believe that fostering "equality, tolerance, and concern for the oppressed" should be optional. Meaning, I can choose to care for my neighbours, but whether I do so or not is entirely at my discretion.
I don't think that's what Jesus meant at all.
that moment you realize jesus was simply one of the first politicians
I'm quite sure He didn't, but you'll never convince the peanut gallery.
This is brilliant.Everyone should watch this and see the contradiction that is conservative Christianity.
So you're saying liberals (who claim to distance themselves from religion) are more in touch with Jesus? Isn't that also a contradiction?
voting and politics. But Jesus is my !
Is there anything that the demorats won't try to spin? lol
I'm not saying we're "more in touch" with Jesus (I haven't prayed to Him in years, ever since I became an atheist). I'm saying that our system of morality is more in line with Jesus' teachings than conservatives' system of morality.
i guess it all depends if you think the government should be playing the role of jesus or not
Jesus Cantavious Courthouse Christ, 1st overall pick of the Jews who then traded him to the ing Romans for what? Silver.
So you think that the government should not follow the teaching of Christ if you are a Christian? There is a difference between being Christ and following his edicts.
I was raised to abhor Christians of convenience but it seems that is all that is left.
What does that say about the Christians in government who want to erect tablets of the 10 Commandments in front of every courthouse in America?
Valid point.
