Does this soda taste slightly ok from November to March only to suddenly taste like monkey from April to June? If so, this is fitting.
Did y'all drink it when you were a kid? BR is very nostalgic to me, and for some reason the nostalgia makes it taste good I guess. Only like once or twice a year, it goes great with BBQ or barbacoa tacos, imo.

Tony. Better watch your taco...
LOL Big Red ZeroAre you supposed to drink that with reduced fat, grass fed barbacoa and organic corn tortillas? I haven't had a Big Red in 20yrs, tbh
It's a cream soda with lot's of red dye and lots of caffeine. Kinda tastes like bubble gum.
Personally, I like it.
2-time world champion Matt Bonner. Love it.![]()
Same Here.
Big Red is like a staple in San Antonio. And for those that say its gross, well, if you don't like cream soda, then yes, its gross. But I personally do, and I would have to say its the best brand name cream soda on the market. Italian cream soda's are the best, but Big Red is the best US manufactured cream soda. They sell it at Publix in Georgia and at the Commissaries at US Bases

Bonner 2, LeBron 2. Just sayin'
Big Red is a cream soda, but it's not a traditional cream soda. It's a bubblegum flavored cream soda. I've had vanilla and carmel flavored cream sodas that I prefer to Big Red. So, it's possible to enjoy a cream soda and not like Big Red.![]()
If you say. I don't know why you think it taste like bubble gum, because it always tasted like a citrus cream soda to me.
But you still would drink Big Red, its just not your preference. Most people I know like cream soda or don't, doesn't matter the flavor. If you think Big Red taste gross, you more than likely aren't going to like traditional cream sodas like A&W.
The only cream soda I don't like is Shasta, and it really doesn't even taste like a cream soda. Shasta makes other really good flavored drinks, but their cream soda nasty as .
I don't know... I think Jones has the best cream soda.

I would counter that a mixture of citrus flavors would approximate a "bubblegum" taste.
I don't like sodas that are super sweet and Big Red is just too sweet for my tastes. Nothing personal, dude.
Interesting mix of personal tastes. I don't really like cream soda. Too sweet I guess, but I like big red. That being said I don't drink it because it was basically a soda I drank as a kid. I think the bubble gum description is closer than simply saying it is a cream soda.
I love big red and it does taste like liquid bubble gum. Also has more e than a mountain dew and bottled in Austin, TX so you're supporting local business. Big Blue is very citrus sweet, haven't tried big peach
