HERES THE THING. the spurs added 2 good players who know their roles, which r coming off the bench and HELPING WHEN NEEDED. This is the difference between the spurs and such teams like miami who brought in players to play a huge role. They brought in 2 starters in walker and williams. Its also about character. In fin and NVE dont play much they wont complain cuz they knew they arent there to be "the man". Bringing in role players and bringing in starters is the difference between too much talent and just great additions.
I don't remember 'too much talent' being a problem for Magic's Showtime crew, or Bird/McHale/Parish, or Jordan's Batman/Robin/Rodman lineup. If there's a clear leader and/or intelligent players, it's not a problem. Michael was clearly his team's alpha male, and the Lakers and Celtics were smart enough to know how to play together. I think the Spurs have both: Timmy is the fulcrum, and Pop makes sure everyone knows it, and no one else needs to have it diagrammed (well, maybe every once in a while).
The funniest question this season will be: is Shaq dominant enough to keep 'Toine from jacking up 3's all day?
Could you put a tad more effort into your typing?
