Very stupid!!
Too much talent??? OH!!! You mean like Shaq, Wade, Walker, Williams, Posey??? Oh ok, now i know what you mean by "too much talent."![]()
For anyone and everyone who has ever questioned a team having too much talent, they must now look at the Spurs and ask that same thing.
San Antonio, now with Nick Van Excel and Michael Finley, two players that could still start on most NBA teams, are going to be sitting the bench.
Will their lack of attention or playing time cause disruption in the San Antonio locker room? How will Coach Pop handle all this? He has never had a team this talented before. Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, Bowen, Van Excel, Finley --- all very good players.
San Antonio won les when they were not the most talented or best team on paper. Now that they have the most talent and look orgasmic on paper, will they win again?
Smart money says No.
Very stupid!!

A little pissed that Finley didn't choose Miami are we?
You ask me that because I made a post that is completely logical?
Everyone on the site here would be asking the same question if he signed with Miami.
The Spurs messed up. Big time. It will cost them their season.
Sure, they will have a nice regular season. Play-off's come and they pull through.
In the Finals, they will be dismantled by the Heat.
The Spurs kissed their chances of winning the le in 2006 good bye the second they even looked into getting Finley & Van Excel.
Mark my words, the Spurs messed up.
I can't believe I just said that..
I'm sorry..Please forgive me..
I love you..
And you would be saying it was a ridiculous question.Everyone on the site here would be asking the same question if he signed with Miami.
Don't hate. Lots of folks thought Finley was a lock just like you....

Could everyone please remember we've only added two guys, both of them the exact fits for what we needed to improve our roster this offseason?
We needed a reliable backup PG for Parker and we now have that with Van Exel - and even HE said, almost proudly, that some games he wouldn't play that much or maybe hardly at all. Finley, meanwhile, is going to get some big minutes off the bench and I'm definitely expecting him to be a contender for sixth man of the year. You can say we're stacked but its really like this - we've got a great balanced starting 5 with Duncan being the #1 option. Then, we've got Finley coming off the bench playing a big role at the 2/3. The others are mainly role players: Van Exel won't average many points or assists but he'll definitely contribute, especially with Parker playing so many minutes last season.
Now, you may say "so what about Finley/van exel's wants to be in the game during the last two minutes of a close game?" Well thats based, in my opinion, on two factors:
1. How well they've been playing that game. Finley/nick are gonna have their good games and their bad, and if say Finley is playing especially well I can see him playing late and the same with van exel.
2. the pop factor: popovich knows best. depending on the situation he'll know exactly who to put in.
rofl.
Didn't you predict the heat to win last year aswell?
guess what happened? Oh... and don't come up with excuses, they didnt.
We all know why you are posting this, it's clearly to try to make yourself, and the team look good after the embarrassing misunderstanding everyone had on finley.
Gg, your team got owned and so did you... now grow some balls out of it.
did we forget that pop is cia. remember folks these players knew the role they were going to be before they agreed to come. like tim said we would love to have you but we don't need you. they mess up and the bench they go.
Here go the Heat fans, whistling through the graveyard.
Your post is considered null and void.
Saying the Spurs will be beat by a team that has the same "problem" that the Spurs have is idiocy, and the fact of the matter is the Heat have it much worse than the Spurs do trying to make all those egos mesh. And that's assuming the Spurs have any problems at all
The Spurs IMO not finished with their roster moves so its a waste of time speculating on problems that may never occur.
As far as the Heat go they will be hard pressed to win as many as last year because the East has improved over last season.
There's a big difference between having too many egos (Heat) and having a lot of talent (Spurs).
You still have to get by the Pistons first...Make to a finals once...just once....and then start talking smack. A few roster moves does not a Championship make. Remember the trophy is handed out after the end of the postseason...not a couple months before preseason....jackass.
I don't see a problem with too much talent. Its too much Ego that brings teams down, and the spurs dont really have a problem with that
no agrenitine fans just have to much ego![]()
First of all we only signed two players that were asked before they signed, if they would except being role players. This is not Miami were everyone on the team is going to be looked upon to carry the team or be the scoring machine they were signed on to be. Next everyone on Miami is going to want the ball and playing time. The last time I checked that team was loaded with egos, were as the Spurs have a team chemistry that requires players to sacrifice playing time and or stats to win games and championships. Miami has players that want to be "the man" every game and be "the man" that is on ESPN every night. I would love to see who out of all the players Miami has is going to be "the man" to step up and say he's not doing his part when they start losing games. I agree we both have talented teams, but the Spurs already know their roles, who the starters will be , what happens to them when they dont play defense, how many minutes each player will play and what is expected of them. You cant say that about Miami.
Dude, the Spurs have a superstar that isn't an egomaniac, unlike the LA Fakers of 2004, this team has players like Manu, TD, and TP that care more about the team as a whole than themselves. Just look at the way Manu handled the bench role he was asked to play when the Spurs lost the 1st game in the playoffs to the Nuggs. Manu said he would do "whatever was best for the team".
Teams as a whole take on the character of the stars of that team...again, look no further than Snaq and Kobe's 2004 Fakers as an example.
"Orgasmic on paper" ???? Are you in the bathroom looking at a picture of Snaq in a thong again?![]()
Lest we forget
Van Exel might be a potential problem on another team. Some people said that Big Dog would drag the Spurs down, and I don't recall it ever being a problem last season.
its called " hatin' " who in the league wouldn't die to be in such dire straights?
"GO SPURS GO SUCKAAAAAS"!!
well there is a sayig when yuo hate the myou look for all sort of evidence t oprove tha ttey are nto good as the look,, continue my freind its just a waste fo time because you cant convince anyone here, late and good luck
