Smart move on his part
- Fight clean, lose and people label his career over
- Fight dirty, win and he'll surely get another top paper view shot
the fan in me would like to say...who gives a crap honestly? Makes it a lot better to watch. Would do the WNBA some good to start roiding up too![]()

What a shock, pussy overhyped Silva was pumping roids, I guess fighting two weight classes below his natural weight wasn't enough of an advantage. Emelianenko > Silva
And there probably is A WHOLE lot of them.
Been saying Fedor>Silva for years, but people kept saying Silva is GOAT as long as his streak was alive. Ah how the mighty have fallen, Mayweather is next
Well,
1- They accelerate recovery time from injuries, and also recovery time after a tough day of lifting..
The average body can only effectively lift weights a certain amount of times per week without over-doing it and wearing out your muscles, etc..a testosterone/HGH/PED user can go through a vigorous workout, and won't be too sore to hit the same muscles at the same volume in the same week, for example..
Having the ability to increase the volume in effective and efficient workout days is huge..
2. Natural bodybuilders generally choose between cycles of bulking/cutting, where you don't build extra mass while cutting, and you're going to naturally lose muscle as you lose weight..steroid users don't feel the same effects, they are able to cut weight, while keeping/adding muscle mass, which is huge for NBA/NFL skill players/Track athletes/Olympic athletes
3. The natural increase in strength..people have the misconception that taking steroids/HGH/PEDs means that you're going to have a bodybuilder/bulky physique, but that's entirely based on your preference..
Basketball players can follow the same training routines as usual: squats, deads, lunges, box jumps, donkeys, slalom jumps, split squats, hip extensions, snatch grips, etc..if you do the same strength/plyo routines you've always done, but you're able to do them with a substantial increase in weight from the strength you've gained from PED use, you're going to see a huge increase in your running/jumping/lateral quickness ability, and even your flexibility..
Track athletes may be the best example..those s have the most aesthetic physiques in sports IMO, and everybody knows all the PED talk surrounding track in the past 30 years..
I do believe it's much less important in the NBA, though, as it requires much more skill than playing in the NFL, and power-hitting or power-pitching in baseball..
A skinny-ass basketball player like Kevin Durant or Anthony Davis can still dominate in the league, despite having weak-ass physiques..
I am skeptical of older NBA players that are still able to perform, though..
NFL players, track stars, power-hitters and power-pitchers in the MLB(obviously actually hitting a baseball or locating a pitch takes extreme skill, though), Olympic athletes and fighters are all much more reliant on physical prowess than NBA players, but when you see players like Westbrook, you understand the effects of PEDs in basketball..
Pretty much this right here. I'm not a Silva fan by any means, but the ridiculous response about people being all shocked is just laughable.
The only time people ever bust out the oldbut everyone else is doing it and I say this without any shred of evidence
excuse is when their fighter gets popped, tbh.
There's a chapter on it in this book:
Is normal.
