'ESPYs,' Caitlyn Jenner score record ratings for ABC
The 2015 ESPYs, which culminated with
Caitlyn Jenner getting the Arthur Ashe Courage Award, drew a record 7.7 million viewers --
triple the audience the broadcast got last year on ESPN. The telecast was the most-watched program of the night, outdrawing CBS' "Big Brother" (5.97 million) and NBC's "America's Got Talent" (5.79 million).
Jenner received a standing ovation after her 10-minute speech,
according to the Associated Press.
"This transition has been harder on me than anything I can imagine," said Jenner, vowing "to do whatever I can to reshape the landscape of how transgender peopleare viewed and treated."
