Ginobili is the best player on the Spurs by far, the most clutch and as good as the game's best player (in my opinion), Kobe Bryant.

    13. Jermaine O'Neal, Indiana Pacers: O'Neal had a really tough season for a lot of reasons, but the bigger concern has been the injuries taking a toll on him two years in a row. Is it the exception or the rule?

    14. Manu Ginobili, San Antonio Spurs: Nobody has won more significant championships around the world in recent years than Ginobili with two NBA les, a European championship and an Olympic gold medal.

Manu is da man!! yeah baby!!

BTW- I'd switch him to #13 : no way in I would take Jermaine O'Neal over Manu!!!

They don't have my respect because everyone knows the best team in the NBA last year was the pre-brawl Pacers. If they can beat the Pacers this year, then maybe. Untill then, no.

yes. Becasue the most important thing to remeber is that the "best team/number 1/king of the hill" is the team that is great for whatever small segment of the regular season you decide to pick out.

    moron.

by that reasoning lets just say that Denver was #1 seeing as how they were kicking ass after the all-star break.

and I know your fixin to come back with "our best players were on suspension" and all other related bull .
But weren't you just talking about teamwork? and team accomplishment?

What I mean by "not getting respect" is that people are picking MIA to win it all in 2006, even though SA showed how good they are in the Finals.
EVERY list of late I have seen have the Spurs as the PROHIBITIVE favorite to take the O'Brien again. They also give mad love to Tim, frequently calling him "best in the game", "winner", etc....not to mention the fawning nationally over Manu. Stop with the "no respect" whining; Spurs are getting it, for the first time ever, in absolute droves! Now they gotta get r done.

Completely agree. Tim and Manu have been getting a lot of love with the press as well as Pop and the Spurs.

One thing about the media, even though they hate our team and (bspn), but alot of there player rankings have either TD at 1-2 spot only; its either him or shaq. Now you dont ever see KG 1-2 on any of the medias player rankings, even the media knows who is the best in the game not like certain fans who dont give duncan his due.

Wade, Nowitzki and Ray Allen ahead of Ginobili?? Not sure how that's justifiable...

This list isn't bad but those three nobodys ahead of Manu is ridiculous. Ginobili is the best player on the Spurs by far, the most clutch and as good as the game's best player (in my opinion), Kobe Bryant.
    You're joking, right?

Ginobili is a borderline top-10 player. I think his rank is about right. Maybe those three haven't won a le, but each is an All-NBA 1st-team candidate, each has led his team to a few upsets, not to mention their respective Conference Finals and done so as the opposing defense's focus.

For as great as Manu is, Duncan makes him that much better. Perhaps the same argument can be made for Wade, but I think Wade is better.
