ORD -- Chicago O'Hare is another one that's odd

LGA -- New York LaGuardia is another one that is drawn from the person for whom the airport is named.
You don't want a direct flight....you want a nonstop flight...betcha didn't know there was a difference!No Direct Flights airport.
You can go nonstop all the way to Houston or Dallas...or if you are lucky, Memphis!
There are some nonstop flights out of SA but not as many as people would like. That is what sucks about being so close to two major hubs.
More airline codes that don't make sense:
MCO-Orlando
MSY-New Orleans
BDL-Hartford
MCI-Kansas City
SDF-Louisville
Most are from the actual airport name (or former name) as opposed to the actual city.
The routing you don't want is Sioux City Iowa to inson, North Dakota. Your tickets will say SUXDIK.![]()

how about the "One Flight a Day Airport"

Well, I have to be quite frank with you, I do not want a non-stop flight. I want one that stops. Preferably at my destination.
