What's your gut feeling man? If the Spurs really are interested, do you think he likes them enough to come on board?
    I do.

Varejao has never been a me-first guy. He is the ultimate teamplayer. He knows that SA values what he brings to the table and at this point of his career and considering that he got paid already, it's all about getting a ring for him. For the min, why not? Even considering his healthy issues, it's worth the risk IMO.

To me, it's a race between SA and GS.

GS just lost Ezeli for about 6 weeks and Bogut has never been an ironman. Plus, they have Barbosa there and the championship appeal. SA may look stacked at first glance, but they're not at the 5. When Duncan went down, our front-court rotation looked atrocious defensively with those small-ball lineups and Pop doesn't trust Boban yet.

If SA fans really miss what Splitter brought to the table during all those years, you can't find a more similar guy than Varejao. And to me, Varejao is better. He can hit a mid-range and he is a much better rebounder.

I would be very happy if SA gets him for the min.

Warriors however just have Bogut and Spreights. Ezeli good be gone for the season. Bogut is injury prone. Warriors are down to one center who may not just be big enough against the Spurs or the Thunder.

This explains the Thunder's interest despite having Adams, Kanter and Collison.

Also explains why the Spurs want him despite being loaded in the front court.

Absolutely critical that GSW don't get there hands on another center.
completely agree. Only reason why I want him

Varejao would be the first center off the bench against opposite true centers. We have been getting killed trying to cover centers with PFs. It would cause Pop to make choices on matchups regarding Diaw and West, and would allow us to match up against any design.

In all seriousness, he is a quality veteran big who won't complain about sitting at the end of the bench and will fit the locker room like a glove.

Read he has narrowed his choice down to the Warriors and the Spurs. I'd rather Golden State get him

can't remember the last time i saw him play... but if he still can... the more i think about signing him the more i'm inclined to the idea. who else is out there? he's gotta be a better pick up than hickson. although he has seemed injury prone to me.
