but "faster bigger stronger"
So you're saying it would've been better if they lost more to ty teams as opposed to good ones?
Bad logic is bad imo.
They're not allowed to lose a single game tbh
Dabom from distance, boom, it's a three.
Bingo. Again, I hope I'm wrong.
I feel the same way.
SPURSSSSSSSSSSSSSS PEAK AFTER MARCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!
Best start in franchise history. Shut the up.
Here we go again. When the Spurs won the le back in 2014, they started with a record of 4-9 against the West top 4 teams (well top 5 as the Spur had a top 4 record themselves). Spurs went on to finish like 13-9 against these teams as they turned in up at the end of Feb and Pop quit experimenting.
Pop does this every year. He experiments against these teams early, especially on the road. I get it. Its better to find out what matchups work and don't work in the regular season rather in the playoffs. And this pattern results in a lot of losses early by the Spurs against the top teams in the NBA especially in the WC.

Spurs are right where they need to be. I believe that our boys will win the games that count this year
Record isn't misleading; the league is weak; and the Spurs are pretty good. But the Warriors are a big concern.
SPAM.
OP might actually be a pussified coward.
Saying we're not better than OKC because we lost to them in the first game of the year? LOL
Bold name bads.
The Spurs have a 12.5 Point Differential.
Greatest NBA Point Diffs and results*

Numbers are incapable of misleading. They are integers and lack sentience, a skill required in order to lie or exaggerate. Rather, it is the individual interpreting the numbers who may use them to mislead.
For example, your suggestion that a 47-9 record is not a 47-9 record, is misleading.
Spurs might lose in the first right, they might win the chip this year. Who knows. Losing in game 6 against the Warriors in the WCF is probably the bookie's over/under.
Regarding misleading record...the bottom line is if you are dismissing the Spurs chances or record because they have lost to a few of the better teams during the regular season, you are not paying attention from one year to the next. In 2014 it seemed like it took forever for them to be a top team in the regular season and everyone kept harping on that. How did that year end?
Agree.
Too many MeBall trips down the floor. As far as shooters missing shots, it happens. Not talking about that. But taking completely ill advised shots. Used to be mainly Porker. Then he massively improved for the 1st half of the season. Now he's going back to MeBall on too many trips up the floor. His 50% shooting is mainly against scrub teams. Now even Kawhi has gotten into the MeBall act. You are correct it certainly is not like the back to back No Stick Total Team Ball seasons. Not yet.
They probably wouldn't be favored against any of those teams on the road. They'll have HCA against all of them except GS though. Winning in a hostile environment in the playoffs is tough but the Spurs are capable of stealing one, they've done it before.
It won't be easy but they have a realistic shot tbh.
This just in...the best teams in the league are harder to beat.

Check PW and PL (projected wins and losses) near the bottom of the page. These are based on point differential.
The Spurs' record, by that measure, is exactly what it should be. It's the Warriors that have a record 6 games better than it should be. They win a lot of close games.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/.../NBA_2007.html
This is 2006-2007 for comparison. The Mavs finished 9 games ahead of the Spurs in the standings, but 3 games behind in projected record based on point differential.
The Spurs also went 0-4 vs the Mavs that year, though each game was close.
Bottom line: I think the Spurs are at least as good as Golden State. That one blowout doesn't change my mind.
In 2014 they lost a lot of games to elite teams then win the le anyway. So what the is the point here?
