The Spurs didn't kill The Thunder. The Thunder did.
Premature ... by a long shot. 1 game. Amazing game by us and a bad game by them. Highly doubt it repeats itself 3 more times... They are too good of a team to have that happen.
Fully expect this to be a much tougher game tonight. They are going to come out with a lot more energy.
The Spurs didn't kill The Thunder. The Thunder did.
#SuicideJob
Spurs definitely stole their Thunder sat. night.
Seattle/OKC has been a pretty tough team since the early 2000s (Ray Allen team), not a dynasty, but just a "good run"
1. They are not a dynasty
2. We won game 1
potentially, it'd be another franchise that never lived up to it's hype due to running into SA. I guess the equivalent is Nash's Suns? Dynasty though... Lakers, Pistons, Heat got rings brah
Sigh, we had like two or three shots to kill those prime mavs. Instead it was Dwayne, and Jack.
Would be typical Spurs.
I cannot stress how overrated to high that early 2000's Laker's Dynasty is. Its easier to buy into the idea that Portland choked in game 7 2000 but rewatch that game and its once again a load of favorable calls to LA. Duncan missed the entire postseason...just think if we didn't have to face Curry and won this year how fraudulent many would view our chip. But nobody bats an eye for LA. In 2001 they were absolutely legit. 2002 is criminally accepted and counted as a three-peat crowning among the public, even fans here. I never did. They were NOT the best team that year. SAC wasn't the most mentally tough team, but they showed enough to be better than LA that year and were robbed. Even the BIGGEST LA media homers admitted it. Whoever actually considers that ring legit didn't watch a second of that series. They were roasted in 2003 by SAS, and Lakers RETOOLED and still got obliterated the next season by Detroit.
So basically in 5 seasons they:
- Avoided the league's best player (who swept them the year before and won the chip) and received gift officiating in an elimination game 7 (2000)
- Won a legit ring in dominating fashion (2001)
- Were outplayed and LOST but the league LITERALLY gave them the ring through the most BLATANTLY CROOKED officiating in league history (2002)
- Got demolished 2 years straight (2003/2004) even after having a chance to retool in 2004.
I'm sorry but I just NEVER bought into that overrated and over-hyped mystique the media built about the Lakers. They were literally protected systematically from the top down and still lost 3 out of those 5 years (2002, 2003, 2004) while fielding supposedly the most unguardable offensive force ever and another top 5 player back then with the "GOAT" coach. That's utter underachievement if I ever saw any. Total bull and that "dynasty" narrative has stuck successfully all these years. The power of the media I guess.
5 rings, gots. everything else.
Bold this man.
All thanks to David Stern
Not a dynasty and where are the Suns?
lol people thinking it was just one game
Only one game and I doubt we shoot that well again or they shoot that bad. But this all seemed sustainable maybe just a closer margin. And it could avalanche real quick with some beliving durant is already gone.
no , this ing forum is so bipolar
We did eliminate that 2010 team that had high hopes and was the 2nd seed though.... That was great.
Not dynasties but yes a win against the Thunder this series would most likely equal KD moving on.
You guys that keep talking like this still probably think OKC has "depth"
I forgot to mention them...Thanks Spurs 4 win ....It seems you cant think openly on this fourm cause when you do everyones vagina gets hurt
They are still talented enough to beat the Spurs and I will not exhale before we won 4 games ... 2013 Finals we blew out the Heat one game only to lose the next one ... one game means nothing
