Neither fat lady nor tow truck bible thumper sound like winners here. Denying someone a tow because of political affiliations is really stupid, while diseases like "chronic fatigue syndrome" and "impaired mobility" sound like manufactured illnesses obese people can use to collect disability. Fibromyalgia is also another "disease" that coincidentally seems to only affect people who are 100+ lbs. overweight.

Like the initial confusion and doubts about AIDS, docs pooh-poohed fibro as psychosomatic. They, as is often the case, were dead wrong, like you.
auto-immune diseases, and other diseases, are now so prevalent, even epidemic, that one has to wonder if BigChem's in EVERYTHING is disrupting, confusing immune systems.
Of course, BigChem has the $Bs to spend on a "plausible deniability" defense propaganda campaign, esp when the chain of causation is long, and effects are long-delayed due to ac ulation.
