Would SlingTV carry the Spurs games in the Austin area?
All of them - but you only get access to the one regional dictated by your geolocation/ip address at that time - so just as with normal cable - you'll only get FSSW w/ Spurs games if you're in the Spurs market area. FS1 and FS2 are nationally available though.
Would SlingTV carry the Spurs games in the Austin area?
Yes - you'll be in the TV market (Austin is also in the Rockets TV market now too, FYI). You'll need an antenna for the KBVO (non FSSW) Spurs games though.
Additionally, if you're far enough in the northern suburbs, you might be outside the 100 mile radius and you MIGHT be okay for League Pass streaming.
$25/mo to basically watch dem Spurs is a damn steal. I hope this is true.
Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports regional
Yep. I already asked Directv how much I'll have to pay to terminate my contract so they discounted my bill some more

At least the main FSSW + 5 alts
Awesome, thanks. I live in Austin, so League Pass is probably a no-go but I'll definitely check out Sling once b-ball season kicks off.

Truth.
if you have a ps4 get vue, unless sling tv has improved a ton, it was for me several moths back.
Obvi no recording ability though right?
You can record with Sling TV if you run it through the new Channel Master DVR+. It can be a bit pricey though. $200 for the 16GB model that requires an external hard drive. $300 for the model with the built in 1TB hard drive. But if you have a PS3 or PS4, you can do Playstation Vue. It's a little more per month, but includes Cloud based DVR service.
A person who works for the Spurs Broadcast department confirmed for me that the Spurs feeds will be provided on both Sling and PS Vue (assuming you're in the Spurs viewing area). He mentioned that there is a Stars game on FSSW in early September that would be the evidence for the Spurs feeds.
Yup. That sucks. They should let you choose a region of choice. I'm sure it's a contractual thing though; so, people like me are more inclined to buy League Pass.

nice, but the "possible blackouts" bull leaves me cold
Doesn't look like you can record streaming content from Sling, or VUDU with Channel Master DVR+. Only the over the air stuff.
Well that sucks a fat one. I think that'll tip me to the Playstation Vue.
Bump
So with tomorrow night's game being our first FSSW televised game, I wanted to bring this thread back up because I'm looking to rid myself of DirecTV as I only have it to watch the Spurs..
For those of you living in San Antonio who subscribe to SlingTV orange which includes the Fox Sports regional channel, can you please update the thread with your feedback on tomorrow nights telecast?
Because pretty much all the Spurs games for DTV show on the alternate channel, I'm concerned that they'll end up showing the Dallas feed of Fox Sports Southwest instead of the Spurs one.
i have it on playstation vue, upgraded to the middle package just for FSSW.
Cool, you in SA?
what do you mean "alternate channel"? I've only had Directv for a week, I have FSSW, is there some chance I'll end up seeing Dallas instead?
There is two FSSW feeds because of territorial restrictions.. 676 is FSSW, and 676-1 (where you're gonna see most if not all of the games) is the alternate FSSW channel.. The regular one shows Dallas .. and no, you're good you'll see all the Spurs games.
Because of this setup, I'm worried that we might have issues getting the Spurs feed, and the service rep at Sling was a moron and couldn't really answer my question.
Yes please... For San Antonio Sling and Vue subscribers. Please report back if tomorrows Spurs game is shown on the regional FSSW network.![]()
I'm also interested in whether the FOX SPORTS GO app works with a sling log in and the game can be streamed mobile.
Or can it be watched on the SLING TV app?
