Sling doesn't carry FSSW to my knowledge. Only TBS/TNT and ESPN for sports.
I tried searching for any answer to this on here but found nothing...
I've been wanting to cut the cord from cable for years but Spurs games are the only thing that has stopped me from doing it. Today, I randomly stumbled across that Sling TV has added the Fox Sports regional channels - including FSSW - to their programming. I have no idea when they did this - so it could have been done after the 2015-16 regular season ended...
So - that said - anyone have experience as to whether Sling TV carried/carries the FSSW-SA feed? I'm worried about switching and then Sling carrying only the Dallas-based, main feed and then just getting blackout Mavs games. I know Sling says they carry some smaller regionals on "alternates" kinda like what AT&T/TWC/etc do when there are duplicate games on at the same time.
I reached out to Sling and they're helpless... I'm trying some contacts within the Spurs organization as well... but thought someone here might have first-hand experience from the past season. Thanks!

But for 20 bucks it may be worth it to cut the cord, if you have a 20 dollar HD antenna for local channels (that actually gets the channels where you set it up) and some way to get FSSW (stream)?
It has many FSSW feeds. Not 100% certain it will carry Spurs games but with multiple feeds it looks like there is a good chance
couldn't get this screenshot from sling to work from smartphone - http://imgur.com/a/nR93t

I'm not sure about Sling, but I know ATT blacks out the FSSW during Spurs games at Houston. Really sucks.
Anyone know for a work around in the Houston area, outside of league pass?
I would wait until someone at Sling gave me an answer and yes you need to know if the FSSW feed is the Dallas or San Antonio feed.
that screen shot is perfect... confirms exactly what I need to know. There are 5 FSSW feeds - Oklahoma, Dallas, Houston, SA and NO... so that should answer everything. Buried on Sling's site, they specifically call out FSOklahoma is FSSW Alternative X and FSSouth (or whatever NO's is) is Alternative Y... but no one could say anything about the Dallas/Houston/SA feeds. That gives me the confidence I need. Thanks a lot for this!
Sling nearly tripled their channels back in June, including FS1, FS2, BeIN, blah blah blah... so to answer my original question - the addition of FSSW was after the Spurs season after all.
Sling customer service was useless as all TV provider customer service is with sports issues. They all provide the same canned blackout and where you live statements. I went through the same thing with UVerse back in 07 or 08 when they would only provide the Rangers feeds and would blackout Astros feeds even though we were in Astros territory. I eventually got calls from the sports programming head at AT&T for a few weeks ensuring the right feeds were going out of their distribution centers.
Sling seems to have really stepped it up with their channel offerings though. Can't believe someone actually got away with basically a la carte channels.

Do they have a dvr function for fxsw?
Im not sure natively in sling but I wonder if you can use your credentials for sling on the fxsw go app. I know with ESPN you can.
FSSW is regional there's no way their gonna put that on another app.. FS1 maybe.. What needs to happen is Fox Sports making a subscription app cause I'll give AT&T/DirecTV a well deserved you and be done w/ TV altogether
No native DVR function for Sling and no real seamless hacks to do it just yet either. You cannot log into Fox Sports Go with your sling log-in yet - but they're supposedly working on it. The sling log-in can be used on numerous other apps currently. I just have to find the right OTA antenna for our house/set-up and I'll be cord cutting this week hopefully.
The Sling Blue package ($25) has Fox Spots Regional listed as well as FS1 and FS2. I cut the cord after the playoffs and have been looking into Sling for the upcoming season. Only downside is no dvr, although there are workarounds like Channel Master's dvr + that has sling tv functionality.
Sling has a free 7 day trial going on now maybe I'll try it out tonight and confirm. Stay tuned.
Man, being a sports fan sucks. Lol. I'd be so done with cable if it weren't for the Spurs.
I cut the cord a last month, and I've been toying with Sling TV or Playstation Vue when the season starts. The Vue is a bit more (starting at $40 a month), but offers more channels (including your regular four networks which is good for me, because for some reason I can't pick up NBC or CBS with my HD antenna), offers an On Demand service (for specific networks and shows), and has a cloud-based DVR service. So that, along with my League Pass Broadband subscription, the only games I would miss are those on NBA TV.
So does anyone in SA have the Sling Blue or whatever w/ the FSSW? It's not the ty Dallas feed is it?
Me too. Cable, the internet, reality outside my room don't need except for the Spurs.
The catch - for right now - is the Dallas feed matches the SA feed for the next few months until the Spurs start. Otherwise, it's the exact same programming until then for both feeds. I'm fairly confident with the screen shot of the all of the alternates that 4down posted that we should be good to go.
I reached out to some contacts I have with the Spurs and they're still trying to confirm it themselves with the appropriate people in the organization.
Spurs are literally the only reason I keep cable. Please someone let us know as soon as you know if FSSW is aval on Sling Blue.
I thought I read somewhere recently that Hulu was planning to add some live TV to it's service, starting 2017, including the local Fox Sports channel for your area.
It's def available now, per the chat specialist I asked earlier on their website. Try the free trial, i think they give you a week.
Great news...however as mentioned below the current feed is the same for Dallas and SA. I really hope that when season starts we would get Spurs games and not Mavs.
So, how many Fox Sports are coming in on Sling TV? I'm out of market, so I'm wondering....
