That's one election. It'd be like saying "blacks are going to turn out from now on it's already happening" after 2008. Don't make too much of this election. This was unique and crazy in a lot of ways, and believing it to be part of a permanent trend is worse than liberals in 2008 believing we were about to enter the Era of Good Feelings 2.0.

If Trump pisses away his term, the people who flipped will flop right back. Unilateral control of the government makes it really easy to campaign against them. I get that you've been dying to consolidate the white race, but believing that it's going to become one bloc is almost as absurd as people in Korea believing that Koreans will vote as one bloc.

She just wanted it. She saw it there within the grasp and just closed her eyes---stopped---hoping it would happen and she'd get to Wednesday and it would be over and she would conduct the next 8 years. I've been there, yes, to scale, yes, just like we all have.

Even back in 2008, I knew that Obama's victory didn't mark the beginning of a new era of politics for the democrats and the end of the line for republicans. The media wanted us to believe we were entering a post-racial era, but many of the people who voted for Obama were swing voters that really only came to their decision to support him based on this: "Economy = bad, War = bad, Current President = Republican; therefore Vote = Democrat". Essentially, they didn't vote for him because he was inspirational or had this set of progressive modern policies, they voted for him because he was simply the "other" of two choices. This time Trump was the "Other" of two choices -- he represented change.

Obama wasn't inspirational with all his hope and changes themes? I don't agree at all with that.

I'm not sure why she didn't go with David Axlerod. This dude didn't have a clue. Her ground game was abysmal. No signs ANYWHERE in my blue liberal state. That's actually the point though. Until politics is not usually just the choice between two white people, we aren't going to see white people coalesce their interests into a single bloc. They can instead focus on things like guns and abortion.

Idk about that. You have to remember that Hillary if she won would probably had been the most hated person ever to get elected in their first term. Reagan, Obama, both Bush's,Clinton all of them were popular upon them getting elected to their first terms. Hillary would have had the Bernie supporters despising her, every Republican on the earth, and probably a few added dem's along the way just for good measure. All the investigations, scandals that would had over shadowed her Presidency, no way she gets re-elected outside of her being responsible for finding the cure for Cancer or something.

I don't think Trump really is interested in being a full time President. He only wants to stay in the White House part time already as it is.
