If Bill knows these things (and about Obamacare too), why the disconnect with Hillary's message? Did she just ignore him and paint an optimistic picture of the economy?
She just wanted it. She saw it there within the grasp and just closed her eyes---stopped---hoping it would happen and she'd get to Wednesday and it would be over and she would conduct the next 8 years. I've been there, yes, to scale, yes, just like we all have.
Let us proceed...
She didn't ignore him as much as her campaign staff did.
Well, then, the fault is hers. She is the one who should be setting the message/what she stands for - not her campaign staff. You'd think she'd listen to Bill though - he's her husband and supposedly a very good natural politician.
Kind of hard to on us for 40 years then turn around and expect something from us. Whites will start voting as a block more and more like the blacks and everyone else do now that they've Balkanized the ing country
Agreed, my general point is that Shillary is so arrogant she didn't even realize how betrayed/disenfranchised white working class families felt by the Democratic Party.
just look at Wisconsin for example, she didn't visit the state even once![]()
Their campaign manager, Mook, wasn't even old enough to vote in 1996. It doesn't surprise me this stuff went completely over his head until it was too late.
but then again she did make an appearance with Jay Z and Beyoncé. That'll REALLY win the white vote over![]()
The economy would be doing a LOT better if Repug hadn't been defunding and firing several 100Ks of people at all levels of govt, for years.
Since Obama took office, the Repugs have done everything they could to up the economy,to re the receovery from the Banksters Great Depression no matter who, including Trash's voters, got screwed, so Obama couldn't claim any credit.
Even back in 2008, I knew that Obama's victory didn't mark the beginning of a new era of politics for the democrats and the end of the line for republicans. The media wanted us to believe we were entering a post-racial era, but many of the people who voted for Obama were swing voters that really only came to their decision to support him based on this: "Economy = bad, War = bad, Current President = Republican; therefore Vote = Democrat". Essentially, they didn't vote for him because he was inspirational or had this set of progressive modern policies, they voted for him because he was simply the "other" of two choices. This time Trump was the "Other" of two choices -- he represented change.
Of course shes arrogant, they've gotten away with literally everything imaginable over the coarse of decades she thought she was untouchable. Can't put the toothpaste back in the tube either, whites are going to drift further and further away from that fest of a party. The DNC is pretty much damaged beyond repair
It's funny how these losers running her campaigned dismissed a popular, successful two term president despite dealing with a Republican senate. Even sad his hag wife who rode his coattails for so many years did the same.
This is laughable. There are only two major political parties. If one doesn't get results for enough of the country, then enough of the country that can swing an election will just votes for the other choice -- and it doesn't matter what that choice is as long as it's "change".
What exactly does 100ks of government people do to help the economy? Govt is bloated, overstaffed and wasteful.
I'm really hoping that party will end up banned for subversion and activity detrimental to the United States and it's citizens
I get the impression this is the thought process these voters use for every election...
I wouldn't underestimate the DNC. The young people are more in line with their philosophies. As time goes by more and more of them will replace the older people who vote republican. Trump and the Republicans must improve the economy/jobs - voters will forgive much if they have money in their pockets.
That's always been the case, people get more conservative as they age, they've ever been born that way by large
But more so now. When I was young, I wasn't hoping for all the stuff young people are pushing for now.
Times change, but human nature doesn't
I became more liberal as I grew older and more educated.
