This just in. Durant is also willing to take it up the ass. I guess the bay area is truly home now.

It doesn't matter. They'll pay whatever tax they have to in order to keep all their players and still afford to stack themselves with one or two more ring chasing free agents.

34m to 30m is more than a 11% paycut. Pretty hefty in all world's terms.

Multiply your current salary by .89 and see if you would not be ticked off on that new figure.

Durant is going to piss off his fellow players. He's basically saying if you want to compete with our super team, you are going to have to give up money. But most will have to give up even more than him to form a super team under the new cap rules.

He's got a 350 million or so shoe deal that he just re-signed with Nike a couple of years ago. So he's got that on top of his upcoming contract. He'd also have a bunch of money for his previous shoe deal that expired a couple of years ago. Under Armour tried to sign him away for 300 million, but Nike had the option to match and they matched and gave him a bit more on top.

Yeah, that's another thing to consider. Players are going to like him even less. Hopefully, everyone ends up hating him.

Half the people on thus board wouldn't see their salary change. Zero multiplied by anything is still zero.

I do not doubt the team that drafted Flynn and Rubio over Curry would make that offer.
