Adebayo and Bell seem to be the recurring names on this thread. Which can only mean the Spurs will draft neither.
Because Leonard's don't come along that often...
for those people hoping for DJ Wilson - you're nuts. Jonah Bolden can do everything Wilson can do, but better, and he rebounds like a PF, not an SG...

I dont see it with Hartenstein. And I dont get why ppl like him tbh. Similar game to Ryan Richards. Poor mans D-Mo. Literrally barks and yells after uncontested point blank dunks. I think he'll be a bust
High because of two way Austin contracts. Spurs can carry 17 next year.
Spurs are actually very very interested in Bell. Depends who falls to 29 or if SA trades up.
Unfortunately some draftniks say Bolden is rapidly rising and is scheduled to come over and work out for teams. I think Spurs may be lucky if he's around at 29. Same with Evans who is a better PG solution than Mills from the get go.
This is a factor a lot of people are forgetting.
Mobile big man to replace Dedmon. I'm gonna say Jonathan Motley, Ivan Rabb or Jordan Bell.
Harry Giles, Bam Adebayo, D.J. Wilson
Yes, and predicting success of late first rounders and second rounders is far form an exact science
If we go for a big i'm for Motley, Rabb or DJ Wilson ( Anigbogu is my favourite but seems out of reach)
What is Philly going to do with all those second round picks (4 picks between 36 and 50)?
Would the Brett Brown connection allow the Spurs to trade their first round pick (#29) for two, three or more of those second rounders? If so, the plan would probably be contingent on how the draft unfolds and who is available at 29 and potentially after -- so we likely wouldn’t know about it until then.
Regardless, I like PJ Dozier for the Spurs at #29. He's got size, athleticism, played for a winner (South Carolina) in college and the weakest part of his game -- his jumpshot-- can be fixed by shot guru Chip Engelland. Great on defense and a hard worker. Could be a steal that falls right into the Spurs' wheelhouse but he might be gone at that point (or, on the other hand, he might last until #36).
As far as bigs go, talented foreigners who could have been steals are dropping off the map -- Latvian Rodions Kurucs withdrew from the draft and Jonathan Jeanne has Marfans Syndrome. He could drop to #59 or completely out of the draft. Both might have been great at 29.
Nevertheless, two remaining foreign seven-footers may have big upsides. Latvian Anzejs Pasecniks is agile and quick for a 7-foot-3 guy. Then German 7-footer Isaiah Hartenstein looks pretty skilled too and may be around at 29.
I sure liked Rodions Kurucs, but PJ Dozier has Spur written all over him.
If Spurs can grab a decent first (in the early 20s) for Green you do it given the cheap salary you're swapping into. But don't see teams going for a one year rental with the outcome of next season nearly inevitable (unless you're the Warriors, Cavs, Spurs and maybe the Celtics or Rockets).
But they're not moving Green unless there's someone they absolutely love at one of those slots. You don't move him just to create space in the 10% chance that CP3 signs.
Right now nbadraft.net has the Spurs taking Bell.
Can't say is be opposed to that. The guy is an athlete.
Honestly don't know much about college players - just what draftexpress says. Man, Bolden looks great on youtube.
For the 29th: Jordan Bell, DJ Wilson, Jonah Bolden
For the 59th: Devin Robinson, Sterling Brown, Davon Reed
Why can't the Spurs get the best player in the draft at 15 again?![]()
I don't really know what's out there at this point; but athleticism and length is what I'd like to see the Spurs attain.
Trade up for John Collins at all costs, tbqfh.
Trade up a couple of spots for Semi Ojeleye

There are plenty of players better than Green (and even more with the potential to be) in the first round. If I'm the Spurs, I'm definitely looking for suitors.
Maybe Brooklyn?
exactly. i mean, when are we going to bring murray and anderson over?
Hopefully the Spurs draft a Pf who can go left..
No Euros. If the Spurs are competing with the Warriors they have to take a two way player with potential to be a star. He has to be ready to play now and they probably would rather take a 3 and D slasher. Ojeleye is the only one NBA ready in are range (maybe) and he's a 3/4 who could maybe play some 2. That only other guard with potential would be Juwan Evans. Which bigs in our range can hold their own against the Warriors?
I'm not familiar with this Spurs site, but they have a list of five players the Spurs should avoid drafting. They are Terrance Ferguson, Tony Bradley, John Collins, Ivan Rabb and Harry Giles.
I agree the Spurs shouldn't draft any of these guys but I'm not sure why anyone would think they might in the first place. Here's the link:

I don't know about their site but I believe their Twitter account is ran by Spurtacular. Just ty takes after ty takes on full repeat.
