Hes playing against Warriors or Hornets...Confirmed by mr source.
And when it doesn't happen, you will be admitting that your source is the hole in your ass?

That exactly what Tim Grover and myself disagree with in regard to Pop's resting schemes. You can't learn to push yourself mentally when you are fatigued or have physical pain. The Spurs don't seem to allow players to learn to play through that. As long as it doesn't make the injury or injuries worse, you should learn to be able to play through some things and push yourself mentally.

You also don't build up any conditioning for playing big minutes in the playoffs if you're resting all the time in the regular season and also playing lower minutes. That doesn't set you up for success in the playoffs.

Does a runner train for marathons by running 5K runs?
I've been saying this exact thing for a long time.

Doesn't Leonard have tendinosis in his quad tendon? If so that's a degenerative condition, akin to arthritis for the muscles. Hope it's not as worrisome as I fear. In Satan we trust, as always.
Tendonopathy. Not the same thing. Tim had tendonosis.

Don't get what's the big deal here...After all the Spurs don't need him.

Let him take his time, don't rush his recovery. Then, trade Kawhi before the deadline.

his injury is a usage injury, similar to the tendinosis that ended Tim's career.

A fear is that he comes back, plays for weeks or months with no problem, then after heavy usage, the tendinosis returns, becoming chronic, as was Tim's.

    This is getting worrisome.

The veteran players look tired and the young guys are either too green or don't have the tools to maintain consistency. It also hurts that the team is paper thin when it comes to big men.

We're beginning to see how the team can't survive without Kawhi, long term. We know they can short term (a couple games here and there.)

Damn, that's worrisome. Any examples of other players experiencing tendinosis early in their careers like Kawhi?,

Serious quadracep tendonitis can take 6 monthe to heal. Mild cases can be 2 to 3 months. That's my understanding. A family member who played football dealt with this issue.

He described it as being stabbed with an ice pick in his lower thigh every time he moved his knee.

It is very concerning to me.

How long has he now been on the shelf doing nothing?

Oh wait, just saw tendonosis. Don't know much about tendonosis or recovery time.

Serious, should we tank? Shut down Kawhi but still try to win at least 50 to keep the streak alive? This is really a situation.

No idea man. I just want to watch Kawhi. He's the only player on the planet right now that I want to watch. Watching the Spurs and some other teams so far this season, I realized I don't like watching most other players. His dominance on both ends of the court is incredible.

I almost can't stand watching the Spurs without him. The only players I'm actually liking right now are Brandon Paul and Rudy Gay. Aldridge is alright, but I don't really like his game that much. If he got physical and dominated on the low block instead of taking jumpers, I'd love watching that a heck of a lot more.

Anyway, I'm digressing from the question at hand, I'm just not sure if the Spurs should sit him. I don't want him to have any long term issues.

I can't see how this team could win 50 without him. If he's not back sometime this month then I feel this is serious.

Agree 100%. One thing is certain; Pop will err on the side of caution in bringing Kawhi back. Also, despite the speculation by some ST posters, Pop did not negotiate a new deal with LMA to rebuild his reputation, pad his resume and then trade him before the deadline. Not PATFO's character.

Haha. Not sure how you have such "inside" information, but I defer to you, sir. Not knowing anything about his injury, I would not be shocked to see Kawhi return this season. Otoh, I would not be shocked if he didn't return. I do know that PATFO will approach the decision very conservatively.

I definitely agree the Spurs are pretty dull to watch without Kawhi. Win or lose Kawhi adds excitement to the Spurs.

so, i don't need to go to medical school and specialize in orthopedics? i just need to read all about it on this thread? i don't need to see Leonard's medical records. Hearsay and speculation are good enough?
