When you brag about "fair-trade" sourced coffee to show the world how ethical a company you are and over 90% of your coffee isn't fair-trade certified and you pay a fat wad less than the going rate your impoverished coffee growers get from everyone else, you're a company and a sham. Not my fault they say one thing and are doing the complete opposite.
Not sure Starbucks is bragging about fair trade certified coffee tbh

Been a minute since I read up, but here's a quick overview on their fair trade sham:

Seems like a subsidy program on its face.

Their coffee sucks no matter where they get it anyway.

Have you never purchased a fast food/convenience store hot coffee in the last 30 years?
You use the sippy lid? Figures. I learned to drink out of a regular cup at an early age and have done it that way ever since.

I use the sippy lid because I don't want coffee spilling in my automobile. I imagine most people feel the same way.

You do realize a lid on hot coffee serves yet another purpose besides sipping.

Take a guess what that might be.

I rarely use an open mug when driving, if it is, it's because I forgot to use a lidded mug. I don't drink coffee black, so if that spills, it's gonna be sticky and I HATE having a dirty cab.

I know life was tough on the Oregon Trail but there’s been technological advancements beyond hard tack and tin cups, Grandpa.

I was in Monterrey this weekend (CA, not dirty MX) at the beach and saw a Big Blue bottle! I marked out a bit. Big Red is around here, but none of the other 30 shades like Big Peach and Big Blue...but you drink that for your morning wake up? It's gotta be with a barbacoa taco tho...

Big blue is alright just a little too citrusy for me. Takes my stomach a few hours to wake up so I generally avoid breakfast or anything besides water until lunch time.

Lol. If they really wanted to be more environmentally friendly maybe they should give more than a ridiculous 10 cent discount for bringing your own mug.
You bringing in your mug to Starbucks to save a dime...
