This is wildly inaccurate. He was losing and Palin was his Hail Mary to try and save his campaign.
No, its accurate. He pretty much had it in the bag until he let Palin open her mouth.
Palin basically sunk McCain's campaign the way Hillary choked her 10 point lead by calling white people deplorable...despite being a KKK kissing racist who hates gay marriage.
This is wildly inaccurate. He was losing and Palin was his Hail Mary to try and save his campaign.
Hillary never had a 10-point lead, crusty. You should stop trusting the media. And McCain lost b/c he was a paper tiger.
He was ahead the week before and the weeks after she was nominated.
She was up by as much as 12 points in mid October.
I think McCain probably loses in a landslide either way (the financial crisis hitting when it did is what caused him to sink in the polls, and GWBs unpopularity was going to be too much for any Republican to overcome imo), but I was more speaking to his reputation and less about his election results. Prior to Palin he was seen as someone who voted his conscience and put right/wrong before politics, and that image went away pretty quickly after he nominated Palin in what people considered a wildly political self-serving move that put a bimbo of a human being closer to the presidency than she ever should have been.
Because the Democrats put in a Muslim nobody radical. Sadly, Salty couldn't offer a stark contrast.
It's what happens when you've been spineless for decades.
The Bradley Effect
It couldn't be that the media was peddling lies; blame it on America

Whatever you think of the pick, here are six things it tells us about McCain:
1. He’s desperate. Let’s stop pretending this race is as close as national polling suggests. The truth is McCain is essentially tied or trailing in every swing state that matters — and too close for comfort in several states, such as Indiana and Montana, that the GOP usually wins pretty easily in presidential races. On top of that, voters seem very inclined to elect Democrats in general this election — and very sick of the Bush years.
McCain could easily lose in an electoral landslide. That is the private view of Democrats and Republicans alike.
McCain’s pick shows he is not pretending. Politicians, even “mavericks” like McCain, play it safe when they think they are winning — or see an easy path to winning. They roll the dice only when they know that the risks of conventionality are greater than the risks of boldness.

Yup. It was just one thing after another with that twit. I remember the thing about her daughter being a teenage, unmarried mother really turned his base off. I was pretty much pro-Obama once he won the primary, so it didnt really convince me one way or the other.
You remember the media playing that up as if it mattered?
Crusty
Crusty was with her 08.
Crusty moved to the cool kids table.
Your comprehension is bad.
Btw, McCain didn't get the dossier until December 2016.
After the election. The FBI already had it, and who did the FBI expose during the election?
HRC.
Hero doing hero things.
So eager was the FBI to get Trump that they leaked on HRC, but said nothing about Trump until after he was elected.
"but-but- DEEEEP STATE I tell ya!"
