I'm as big a spurs fan as anyone, but this team had no business getting past round 1. It's an above average team that's not very fun to watch.

Both of those things can be true. It's more a reflection of the current state of the West than anything else. Outside of the Warriors and Rockets, any of the other 6 playoff teams conceivably could have beaten each other.

No matter how much stuff broke their way though, I don't actually think this team had it in them to win 2 series.

It's more about how favorably the seeding broke their way than anything tbh. The West is so ty outside of the Rockets and Warriors that the Spurs would have had a shot to get to the WCF had they beaten the Nuggets (only because Nurk is out).

They would have gotten their pushed in during the WCF though.
