White was the primary defender during the run Murray went on here that seals the game.
Mills and Belli are the two I'd trade away this upcoming draft...considering White is gonna play lot of minutes, DJM is coming back and Walker/Forbes should both fight for a primary role...while DDR (actally our sf) will necessarly eat some minutes at his original big shooting guard spot and some at big point guard position.
With these 5 guys out there I frankly think our minutes at the 1/2 will be all covered and our leadership duties should be passed from Mills to new age point guards, aka the quite White and the enthusiastic returning DJM.
That said, we need wings and this draft looks full of them...but more in the top 12 than in our drafting positions.
Back to Mills and Belli, there could be a case that some team really could need what they can still bring on the table...and so could let us advance in the drafting spot trading their for our said players.
Both still are considered for what is actually the most precious skill in the nba : 3 point shooting.
And both bring veteran experience at the max level (means championship level) and, in case of Mills, also big leadership qualities.
Some team could and should value these qualities a lot...(think of teams with play off ambitions, lack of three point shooting and leadership problems...and some big contract they don't like and want to trade away).

you realize this now OP? Everybody saw this when we lost Game 2. That was the series and it was clear as day that the Blazers can't hang with the Spurs. They can't guard Aldridge and Spurs can put White on Lillard. McCollum ain't that big so Forbes could guard him, otherwise you put DeRozan on him. Blazers are an easier match up than Denver for us.
And I don't think the Spurs could beat the Rockets, but Pop never lost a series to D'Antoni. So if the Rockets beat the Dubs, Spurs would 've had at least a punchers chance in the WCF

No combination of any players would have beaten the Nuggets as the spurs as currently composed are a trash team
Spurs were never going to win a championship with the inneficient midrange game. It is clear as day if you have seen even 1 minute of the Warriors/Rockets series.

Pop cost us once again. The most predictable thing with all of our spurs over the years is that Pop ying instead of yang when he doesn't have to.
The team had no fight inside. Whatever Pop told White 36 performance did not work. The kid was so confident going in.
