It was a myth when the phrase was coined and gets more inaccurate as time passes and people become less and less religious.
Not even close. Trump won the electoral college by 77,000 votes total in three states, representing, if I remember the fraction correctly, about fourth tenths of one percent of the total votes cast in those three states.
The polls in each of those three states were neck and neck right up to election day. None of them are even close now.
The republicans will vote regardless.
