I’m going out on a limb and say 43-39.

30 wins.
28 seems about right ... our overall shooting is still far away from being able to compete with NBAs talent on a regular basis. and if we put the good shooters on the field like Bryn, Doug or maybe even Lonnie the defense suffers tremendously.
If Derrick is not healthy for most games Pop may not even break the all-time wins record.
Something between 30-35
Think that's the true peak of this team, 40-41 wins. I see a lot of pseudo 2018 Clippers here.
Mainstream media figure to watch: When DJ and DW score over 45+ points combined, Spurs are undefeated...
the intriguing part of this preseason was Pop saying something along the lines of the team playing simple stuff... maybe that's the variable that could generate an overachieving rs record
Wait wait wait. You guys said that losing DDR was addition by subtraction. And Gay. And Mills. Now you're saying spurs are ten games worse?
but we got Bryn again ... thats why![]()
to be serious ... teams as young as the Spurs are now do not win many games in the NBA ... with Demar and Rudy gone they can develop more freely and have to take over the reigns which will be helpful in the future but it will not result in more wins this season ...
Better bring a parachute.
Not as presently constructed..
37 - 45
32-34 wins.
Bad start but they put it together and gain an iden y in the 2nd half of the season, imo.
Knowing the Spurs they will play their hearts out and barely cover the over, but 40 wins? With this scrubby team and washed coach? Hahahaha....
Early on in the beginning of the season Spurs might get lucky and steal a few games due to other teams adjusting to roster changes but I think most teams will have the spurs figured out come mid December and it is going to rely on Murray, White, Vassel, Yak, McDerm, Eubanks, KJ, Forbes all netting positive every game.
That doesn't look likely. If the spurs figure out how to mitigate issues with rebounding and defending penetration and continue to trend upward with the up tempo play style they could surprise pundents a little by making ripples in the standing.
I think they hit around 33-38 wins.
Middleton, Jrue and Booker are going to join the Spurs at midseason.
Pop is a living legend and haters will have to accept that players would rather play for him then attempt to get a B2B Championship.
I like the anti-Demar sentiment premised in the 40-win number. However, even without the dead weight of Demar, I think the Spurs are more likely to win about 30 games than 40. I hope I’m wrong though
This is also my concern. White getting injured again and the team losing needed defense and playmaking.. if Primo steps up though, it's going to be a different story
My projection is there is not one player on this Spurs team that will be in the playoffs as a Spur in the future.
The Spurs were 33-39 last season (equivalent to 38-44 in an 82-game season) and the team got rid of DeRozan, who many on this board believe is a deadweight. If you factor in internal improvement from White, Murray, and Johnson, then wouldn't it make sense to think they would be even better this year? Better than 38-44 that is.
They hit 40 this year IF they all stay healthy. But White and Lonnie aren’t exactly durable.
I didn't see what I needed to see in pre-season to think that we'll win 40. I think 30 will be tough to reach but possible.
To get to 40 we would need almost all of the guys to take a step forward in their development.
DJM to all-start level of play. Of all of our players I think DJ has shown the most promise to actually level up the way we need him to.
White to elite role player. We've seen this from him before, but injuries have been a problem and he has looked rough in the pre-season.
Keldon Johnson to burn teams who play off of him by developing a consistent jumper. Pre-season has been inconsistent here, at best.
Devin Vassel's offensive game needs to progress enough that he pushes for a starting spot ahead of either KJ or McDermott. His defense is already great.
Poetl is who he is. He is extremely limited offensively, but is a solid starting big in this league. He just needs to be that guy, perhaps with a little better FT %.
We need a bench scorer or two as well.
