Spurs gonna get stomped ... probably one of the worst matchups.
Chinook in case you were worried about the vassell bench thing being an experiment and not just a minute management thing
Spurs gonna get stomped ... probably one of the worst matchups.
That's fair, I think we are all ready to expedite this part of the process and criticism may be appropriate depending on where the team is at towards the end of this season.
But Brian Wright probably knows how to use a phone. I mean are we saying that for example MIL called wanting to do Greek Freak for McDermott (hypothetical) and Brian was asleep and failed to call back? Denied the offer out of fairness to the rest of the league?
I feel like this management has been otherwise quite meticulous so either the deals weren't there, good enough, or the FAs weren't good fits in the eyes of a Front Office I've come to trust with moves. Bring in vets too early and now the vets are pissed the youth is holding them back and you still have issues either way.
I'm not against the general pessimistic outlook among the fanbase currently, but what magic wand did PATFO fail to wave and I want a real example not Reeves' dead horse beat or some non-existent trade path or some speculative, on-paper fit you tried in 2k.
What confirmed move did Brian miss that would've changed the start of this season for the better? And could Wemby and gang even keep up with this immediate cure all golden bullet roster move some fan knew about but an entire franchise office staff and advanced forecasting models somehow missed?
To play the devil's advocate I'll respond to my own question by saying it probably would've been nice to go into this season with an actual PG lol
Especially since I think we're only doing this Sochan PG thing bc Pop was too scared of confrontation to tell one of KJ or Sochan to go to the bench. Hey KJ thanks for helping us tank for Wemby, as a reward you lost your start. Hey Sochan, #9 is good but #1 is better, thanks for all your hard work but you lost your start. It's damned if you do damned if you don't
So to avoid the conflict, Pop say, hey you both start, I'll just play Sochan 3 slots out of position
Genius!
To be clear, I'm actually satisfied with Sochan's progress and impressed with his resolve to try out new roles and keep a decent at ude and just focus on improving. Sochan was not a mistake draft pick. Jermey has a ton of talent and I have Sochan on my DO NOT TRADE list. Love what he brings, love his potential.
so what's the point of this dumb ass tournament again?
Ant dropping 40 for this game.
ESPN had the honors of broadcasting the very first In-Season Tournament game between the Knicks and Bucks and averaged 1.644 million viewers. The Mavericks/Nuggets game in the 10:30 p.m. window averaged 1.76 million.
Compared to average NBA Friday night coverage on ESPN, viewership was up 35% in terms of the In-Season Tournament.
Cash money, man
Vassell Floppy to start the game
To put people in the seats?
(Just kidding from the looks of things.)
Court actually looks better on TV than I was expecting, and the jerseys fit it
Not the worst kit, that's for sure
This is the worst color scheme of all the tournament courts, it's bland as eff.
All the empty seats![]()
Austin, here we come![]()
yeah I gotta admit I mocked all the alt unis
but since I've been watching they have all grown on me. That IND alt uniform/special court combo is kinda sick.
Spurs Hemisfair unit are pretty sleek actually
KAT literally has no jump in his jump shot.![]()
Much better start than the last two games. Nothing forced on offense so far
Dev back and Spurs look more in rhythm
That’s like 5 or 6 dunks already![]()
Defense has looked much more respectable thus far.
In before the bench comes in and the Spurs are down 20 before halftime![]()
