The Ball idea is good. I do not not think anyone around the league would assign positive value to Vooch. He's a washed player.
His counting stats and advanced stats are still solid. Not sure where you're getting the washed idea from. He's declining but still effective. His value is neutral at worst at 20M per season.

DeRozan is good for regular season wins (only), but given he is long in tooth we hope for a net gain on his departure. Can CHI get any compensation for Demarr, a S&T or anything?

MIA: DDR (~20M per via S&T)
CHI: Keldon
SAS: Robinson; Jovic
Gives the Laui-stans and cheaper facsimile in Jovic. Robinson has 2 years left, with an expiring that seems flippable next season. Obviously Spurs would still need to be enticed with some other assets too.

Very concerned about this pick (and not to pat myself on the back, but I called this a year ago) but fully agree with exstatic that it would be best if this pick magically conveyed in the 9-12 range in 2026.
Have a real hard time imagining the Spurs wanting to take 3 players next year, so if this conveyed next year it would likely just force us to take a subpar return in trading it away, as teams will know that 1) we need to move it and 2) we're happy with subpar returns on picks
Even if the Bulls tank, the Spurs have their second round pick -- so a selection in the early 30s isn't a bad consolation prize. In fact, best case might be get 31-33 in 2025 and then 9-12 in 2026.
Bulls ownership basically just cares about being good enough to lead the league in attendance (which they have for three straight seasons). I doubt ownership is down to totally bottom out for three years and hurt attendance. Chicago can attract players so they should be back to mediocre soon.

What's funny is Chicago might accidentally get better during their "rebuild" because the Bulls have actually be been with lineups that don't feature DeRozan, LaVine and Vucevic. Those three just don't really impact winning any longer. Lonzo Ball is probably the most impactful player on their whole team. With Caruso gone, Coby White might be next.

Chicago is picking a direction, finally. Or maybe DDR leaving is forcing it. Overall a good thing for us, most probably, since we don't need the pick next year, they can tank and get someone good, and we get two more years of 1-8/1-8 protections.
With so many terrible teams in the East, the Bulls will have a very easy schedule too, even if they are one of the terrible teams.
