maybe he just meant toine would jack that shot up without a second thought if the time came...
I don't know about Shaq sometimes, it's hard to tell if he's joking around when reading a quote, but I doubt he was unless Toine take a joke well, otherwise it might be a little insulting to him, either way Horry got the worst insult of all, even having his name mentioned in the same breath as Toine...

Not only was Shaq not joking, but the Big Fella was displaying the kind of perception and leadership that has been his hallmark for going on 20 years now! Antoine Walker has been the subject of a lot of slings and arrows, many of which have come from this message board. My sources tell me that Toine has been crying himself to sleep as a result. So what Shaq is doing is building up his man's confidence so that he won't be afraid to shoot. You don't see Tim Duncan out there saying, "Brent Barry is our Robert Horry." The result? Barry is playing like a shorter, somehow whiter version of Rasho Nesterovic. Quite frankly, I think you should bookmark that article because the Diesel's comments are the kind of thing that will give Walker the confidence to finally get aggressive with his offense.
Brent Barry is Brent Barry
We will see the result of the Shaq motivation
Seems to me like Shaq was poking fun at Walker. I mean, comparing one of the most un-clutch players in the league to Horry .. unlikely that he was being serious. That's like saying Nazr is our DRob.
All that quote is going to do is provide more ammo for sports writers like Bill Simmons to make a laughing stock out of 'Toine... Not that he wasn't one to begin with, but still, that quote will set off a spate of Toine jokes.
The media are killing us by putting the mics to the mouth of this crap-talking baller. Robert Horry's clutch factor - off the charts.
Antoine Walker's clutch factor - out the window
Dude, it must be hard to see what Horry does for this team when your left eye is jammed firmly up against your prostate gland.
Horry's energy, defense, rebounding and the ability to draw a charge came up huge in the playoffs. And then of course, he was totally clutch.
he's still upset horry didn't want to come to dallas.
Toine is a fat-mans' Robert Horry
He's Shaq's Robert Horry, if you want to get real specific about which fat man.
Shaq is going to be Dade County's next Buford T. Justice.
How long do you plan on Horry being a big factor in the playoffs. Isn't he like 35? Also how was that Finley signing?![]()
Finley is doing just fine, helping us while still getting paychecks from Mavs. He's gonna do even better in the playoffs draining 3pt daggers on the Mavies.
And Horry blind and on crutches is better in the playoffs than VanHorn, Stackhouse and Terry combined![]()
yes it is. But not during pregnancy, guess someone should have told your mom...
Finley is actually on the "+" side of the Roland +/- ratings, as is Horry, so his contribution to the Spurs, as Dallas pays the bulk of his salary, is a win/win as of today.
Nick Van Exel is the bench addition that has not paid off for the Spurs yet. At $1M, it's not a big waste of money...just a low ROI at this juncture.
Don't worry about Finley. He always disappears in big games. The last 2 playoffs he has been downright terrible. He was a big reason Dallas lost in 5 to Sacramento and the same in the Phoenix series.
"Jeff Van Horn is our Robert Horry . . . until he misses and then I'm throwing that asshole under the bus, too."
Hey, remember when the Mavs were a factor in the playoffs!? Oh wait...

If the Heat are banking on Walker to hit big shots in the East Finals against the Pistons this year, it is going to be a 4 game sweep for the Psitons.
Remember the time Finley showed up in the playoffs.![]()
if anything, NVE is our antoine walker
