Antoine Walker scored 12 of his 15 points and bailed the Heat out with three consecutive baskets in the fourth quarter.

“It’s real important to get him, he’s our missing link,” said Shaquille O’Neal, who had 23 points. “He’s going to be our Robert Horry. We need him to step up and hit shots and be consistent with the high percentage shot.”
Well, if I didn't think Shaq was an idiot before I would now. But I already thought he was an idiot so this just confirms that. Again.

    Shaq is a genius.

He's the funniest guy in the league. The problem is people take him too seriously.

Well considering Horry was pretty for the Lakers in his day I guess Walker can't do too much worse. Horry only makes big shots.

What does Horry being pretty have to do with anything?

And if you don't realize what an incredible contributor Horry was when he was a Laker, then you must have never have seen him play. He did a lot more than hit big shots, just as he's doing for the Spurs now.

Isn't that what counts? Would you rather him make a game winning shot in the regular season rather than the playoffs?

Maybe not for YOU....in '02, he was jigglin' around shouting "no one here can guard me" while the Celts were sending the Pistons home 3-1.

No. He should be a factor for the whole game. Not just the end though I guess whatever. Also he was pretty bad at times for the lakers. They would talk about his shooting slumps and he kept getting worse until he went to the spurs.

Stick to subjects you know about because this isn't one of them. How many championships has Antoine helped lead his team to? Tell me about Walker's defensive abilities and how many shots he blocks?

Horry crashed in 2003, he had to play too many minutes during the regular season because Fat Ass Shaq decided to wait to have surgery until he was on "company time". Horry was exhausted by the time the playoffs came around. He didn't just suddenly become a good player when he went to the Spurs.

To be fair, Shaq said he is 'GOING to be', not that he IS...

And I agree with timvp... Shaq says a lot of things that are total BS to the press.. he knows how to work them and that is a good thing, imho.

Another ignorant quote from Shaq. Toin' comes nowhere close to Horry. He couldn't hit a big shot if the rim was 3' in front of him and as wide as two basketballs!

Law of avg. says that you can only make 1 out of every 3 threes. Walker makes 1 out of 9.

Not only that but Walker has requested the League the introduction of a 4-point shot

Horry is a way better clutch shooter. And Horry doesnt jack up nearly as many shots as Antoine (I play all five positions) Walker.
