Looks like they are. Only problem is, Mavs Blogs are usually uninhabited by Mid May! Expect 2006 to be no different.

They love it because it inspires them to prove people wrong. Whatever Barkley says they can't do they seem to concentrate the most on.

So, Avery determines what he's going to work on in practice by watching TNT? That's a of a strategy.

Sucks that the Spurs and Mavs are going to have to play eachother in the 2nd round instead of the WCF
That is why I do not like the new divisions. It used to be that the top team and 2nd best team (as far as record) always played everyone else until the conference finals.

The NBA needs to change the seeding, because the weaker division leader should not get the 3 seed over a better team in the toughest division. Everyone plays the same schedule in reg season except for maybe 2 games, so it makes sense that the top records should be seeded accordingly.

"Dallas is too deep to lose to any crappy team. If some players aren't performing they got a ton of bench players that make up for it. The only team that goes 12 men deep."

BS period, Spurs remain not only better (and will show it when it counts) but are deeper and in the playoffs which is an 8 man game, Pop will rely on experience and verve vs. "Keith Friggin Van Soft"

Don't believe the hype, Mavs are going to crash again.

The Mavs are like Spurslite. Look at the team they start: an offensively limited defensive center, at the 2 and 3 a defender and athletic slasher, a scoring point guard, and a star power forward. problem is:

    Duncan > Dirk
    Rasho > Diop
    Bruce > Griffen
    Manu > Howard
    Parker > Terry

And on the bench I'll take Nazr over Dampier, Finley over Stackhouse, and Horry over Van Horn (at least in the playoffs). Barry and Beno aren't all that much behind Harris and Daniels either, if at all.

Across the board I just dont see them having the talent OR team concept to beat us in a series. Avery is an awesome coach too, we always knew he would be, but I'll trust pop not to get outcoached.

Mavs are better this year. They're good.

Unless SA loses tonight, they aren't really trying to catch Dallas in the loss column.

Well, i disagree, but even if you go with Stackhouse over Finley, it doesn't make up for the other disparities in a seven game series. Sorry.

well, since you said so I now believe it. Let's just wait and see what happens. You can't honestly say Dallas doesnt cause San Antonio problems.

It took a long time for the Spurs to catch the Mavs.

problems to maybe take them to 6 games instead of 4

i dont doubt dallas would be a decent opponent

but to think that they can beat SA in a 7 game series is ludicrous

ESPECIALLY if dallas doesn't have the HCA

Josh Howard has been the reason for the mavs success. The guy dominates the boards, shuts down players, and is a scoring machine. You'll see in the playoffs.
