A friend of my dads is good friends with Walton and has a house out by him in Scottsdale, believe it or not, I hear Walton is actually a pretty racist guy.
I like Walton because he appreciates Rasho.![]()

Bill said something about Freeman Coliseum being the place where they "store the hay" Friday night during the Nets game and then today he said something about Texas State too. I about punched the TV. Blah Blah Blah. Mute the TV. I'm too lazy. And I'm a girl I can complaine if I want to. I have more to about if y'all want to hear it.
snapper was a today.
"this is why the spurs are beatable"
65.6 win pace which if they finished with that would be better than any team since the 72 win bulls right?
"beatable"
GG
Why would mentioning Texas State (which, forgoing my obvious bias, is the university of Jeff Foster) be a bad thing?
I mean, the only thing wrong with the statement was he first said he went to college in San Antonio (graduated from Madison High), but then he mentioned next sentence that he played at Texas State and was one of the school's best players.
hey when you're team is that good..you find other things to about.
Here's the ticket:

All the commentators say 99% . I don't blame them after all its a ing game on tv. We can see what's going on so instead of them saying it they need to say other "interesting" facts.
It wasn't bad. It seemed to me that he didn't agree with the statement. Why would mentioning Texas State (which, forgoing my obvious bias, is the university of Jeff Foster) be a bad thing?

I think we are just spoiled from listening to the god of color commentary, Sean Elliott, every game. I mean, seriously, I could listen to Sean announce a Dog Show or a Quilting Bee or something and he'd still find smart ass things to say while dropping some catchy SportsCenter-esque quips, all while being just absolutely entertaining. Bill Walton, ABC needs to put Sean on the payroll just to call Spurs games.
FABULOUS OBERTO..
oh man
Walton just basically makes up stuff on the fly that is just bodacious and out of left field....example, "the most dominating performance in the history of the Atlantic Division."
Steve Jones seldom misses an opportunity to verbally downplay what the Spurs do in basically every game he's ever called.
I usually hate to listen to Bill Walton, but I thought he was pretty funny yesterday....
"Welcome to the age of leagality, you join Steve, when I turn 21 I want you both to take me out"
Snapper Jones is maybe the worst anaylst/colour guy out there by himself, but joined with Walton they make a funny and somewhat informative pair (Walton with the info).
I just turned the volume waaay down during the game...which is what I'm forced to do when Terry Porter is announcing. I'm sure he's a great guy and thank for your tour as a Spur, Terry... but he is just really, really awful to listen to. I'm going to start counting off how many times he says, "he did a great job," just to amuse myself. And I tried listening to the games on the radio while watching them on TV, but because of the delay it's far too annoying. I think the best idea might be just to turn the stereo up for background music and mute the TV.
I can't stand Doug Collins.
musberger takes the cake as the worst ever.
He's a nice enough guy.
he may be the nicest guy in the world, but i can't stand his commentary in any sport.
I turned off the sound then I turned off the closed captioning. I was getting pissed off just reading what he was saying.
I really don't mind listening to Walton. He says things that are pretty funny. Actual, by us discussing him, I guess we're giving him props!!I think every anouncer tries to have their own personality, just like Don Meredith. I thought he needed Howard Cosell and vice verse. Meredith would say things that were off the wall, and then would start singing " Turn out the lights". Sometimes I don't even listen to the anouncers b/c I'm to busy watching the game, and getting into the game that I really don't need the anouncers to tell me what is going on............I could see for myself.
