Pop wouldn't have the Nov/Dec luxury of letting Spree play more minutes to learn his role, because Mar/Apr, all the games are significant.

For a veteran come off the bench and shoot open bricks, the Spurs already have Michael. Spree would be an out-of-shape, redundant brick-er getting no PT.
