When did I infer such a thing?
    Typical Spurs fans, making excuses
Of course Spurs fans are nervous,
    typical shhhpurrrrs.
It's nice that Spurs fans will at least have *memories* because that's the only sure thing you can rely on right now.
Spurs fans like to talk big about their past achievements
lol, i'm just messing around with you spurs fans, don't get so defensive,
    bye losers
i'm going to trash all i want because spurs fans do the same and the playoffs are starting up soon
Not all Spurs fans think alike.

I am not sure what would've happened when Spurs/Mavs met in the Western Conference finals back in '03 but it would've been more interesting had Ginobili not flopped around and taken Dirk out. Anyway, I'm not saying we would've won but we were kicking yo' ass before that happened.
Mav fans have to drop this stupid argument. The Spurs were up 15 in the 4th quarter of game 3 when irk went down. They had just destroyed Dallas in game 2. They only lost game 1 because Bennett Salvatore was in the house and thought he should give out 97 free throws and extend the game to 3 1/2 hours.

Tim Duncan completely destroyed Dallas for those first 3 games, when irk was the one guarding him. When Dallas was forced to throw Najera on Tim the Mavs defense vastly improved.

Look at the boxscores for the series and tell me you were better off with Dirk. Pre-injury, Duncan was putting up 35.3 ppg on 61.7% shooting with 18 boards per game. As soon as Najera became the main person guarding him, Duncan's numbers fell to 20.7 ppg on 51.0% shooting with 15.3 boards per game. Nowitzki's injury was the only thing that made that series compe ive.

Your point? I was careful to not get rowdy until some of the posters on this board started name-calling...after that I figured what the heck? I don't just trash everyone on the board but if someone is going to get mean-spirited then I'll do the same to them, not to all Spurs fans. Maybe you should work on "context."

Fine then get mean-spirited to those that insulted you. Nothing wrong for standing up for yourself. You were lumping all Spurs fans together.

whatever the outcome, i think it will be at least 6 but probably 7 games...the mavs have the best home record in the west and howard really lights it up at home more than he does on the road so i can see the series going to 7

yeah i got them losing twice in dallas

I could see that. Both teams have proved they can win on the other's floor.

The Mavs got more production out of the 4 spot without Dirk in that series. The only reason the Mavs were compe ive at all was because of the backcourt, and two of those guys are now Spurs.

Considering all the mavs injuries somehow they are only a game behind the spurs. The mavs could've won last game if they had Harris. Oops they did win last game.

Well the Spurs would have won that game if they'd had Beno. Beno could have defended Dirk with his while he sank three pointers with his balls. People don't realize that Beno is the fastest point guard in the league and he can defend anyone. He also is the emotional leader and their best shooter. The Mavs get the win, but they got lucky. Also the officials gave them every call.

The above is an example of how pathetic you sound after every ing loss. Give it a rest, already.

I would like to have your thoughts on Devin Harris. Obviously you don't think too highly of him or you would understand that he is Dallas's 4th best player. Just slightly behind Jason Terry.

Woulda coulda shoulda....none of it matters on either side. You still have to play the games. Dallas and SA are 2-2 and have both won on each other's courts. Two great teams heading for a playoff war.

With the case of Dampier and Diop doing a good job on Duncan and Parker not going crazy on offense. I like our chances and I thought the matchups worked well for Dallas earlier in the season as well. If Dallas can get fully healthy they have a legit shot on upsetting the spurs.

I don't need to do doo-doo. Spurs fans like to talk big about their past achievements and this makes them (and Barkley) think that they are automatically en led to repeat. I am not sure what would've happened when Spurs/Mavs met in the Western Conference finals back in '03 but it would've been more interesting had Ginobili not flopped around and taken Dirk out. Anyway, I'm not saying we would've won but we were kicking yo' ass before that happened. Anyway, stop resting on your past accomplishments, this is the here and now and the Spurs won't take it all this year.
weak excuses seem to be a trademark of Mavs fans as of late. I wonder what excuse they'll come up with when we KICK their asses in the playoffs

I think Devin Harris is a good young player who shows flashes on occasion, and who is going to be good for a long time. Since he hasn't yet won the starting job away from Terry, who is a second rate point guard with scoring ability, I don't see his absence being nearly as dramatic as the Maverick fans want it to be, but I'm not the one looking for an excuse every time they lose. I'd probably put Harris sixth on the team in talent, and lower than that from a need standpoint, because he doesn't have size.

The stats prove you wrong. In the +/- it shows Harris is the 4th on the team in that category and slightly behind Terry. 82games.com has these stats.
