Our suffocating defense and the buzzer beaters. And losing my voice for our boys.

Damaging my vocal chords (literally) in Game 5 of the Eastern Quarters of 2002. Slapping fives with people I had never met in downtown Detroit after game 5 of the NBA Finals.

I love the excitment of the playoffs, the noisy crowds, the emerging heroes. And watching the Pistons win.

I'm the opposite, I love watching the Spurs win, and Pistons lose.

I don't know if other people get this or not, but during the playoffs last year I was fortunate enough to be able to go to every home game. Even if we had a huge lead w/ 1 minute remaining in the game, when the game clock hit zero and the buzzer sounded I would always get a slight chill down my spine. I've been to most playoff games during our 3 championship runs (with the exception of '03 because I was in California) and I love that feeling. It's like excitement, relief, joy, and accomplisment rolled into one.

    LUCKY!!!!
