Classless Mav Fan is no surprise. Before Fin got there your team was a joke. He helps build the foundation of what you have now and he gets booed?

    Great fans you have there.

The only bad thing about the playoffs is the invasion of the trolls.

Um...you just called the biggest AJ lover and defender in history a hypocrite...His man-love for AJ is legendary.

And you wonder why we think ya'll are a bunch of stupid s. I am sorry...but you guys are complete dumbasses.

You know...being a head won't get you run from this site...but being stupid will. You guys seriously need to get it together.

Here is a starting point for you...

If you don't know what you are talking about...then don't start typing on that keyboard.
First of all, thats great that he is an AJ fan. Don't be an idiot and think that that comment was just meant for him. I realize he was the one who made the comment, but the majority of this board has had nothing to say about AJ except bad things. So, before you start making a collective group and name calling, think about what you are saying. You are probably one of the ones who wants AJ's head right?

If Finley had gone to the Pistons, Heat or any other team we might face he wouldn't get booed. The fact that he is now playing for our biggest rival is why he is getting booed. Think of it as when Emmit Smith left the cowboys, had he gone and played for the Redskins or eagles, he would of gotten booed. But he went to Arizona, who isn't a big team rival.
Yeah, but it's not like he was doing it like Deion Sanders -- who wanted to jump from the Falcons to the 49ers, and from the 49ers to the Cowboys, and from the Cowboys to the Redskins just so he could put the screws to his old team. Fin was just looking for the best organization to land at.

And it's not like he was a free agent that the Mavs tried to resign but chose to jump ship instead. He would have been happy to spend the rest of his career in a Mavs uniform, but he got cut loose.

I love Finley but this constant talk of how we screwed him over is getting ridiculous. He wasn't producing like a started needed to, and he didn't want to sit on the bench in a Mavs uniform. He wanted to start. He didn't fit here anymore with AJ's style. Its business. Get over it and move on. I was a big Finley fan, but I understand thats they way the NBA goes. If a player doesn't fit, you don't have him anymore. Get over it already. It happens on every team in the NBA.

He didn't get screwed over. When you're building a team, you do what's right for the team.

But he also didn't betray the organization, either, like a lot of Mavs fans seem to think.

Which explains the out of why he took Popovich's offer to come off the BENCH.

Nobody held a gun to Cuban's head and made him give Fin the contract to begin with.

It's the playoffs guy, Finley got standing ovations both times the Spurs came to the AAC this season. You don't cheer an opposing player in the playoffs. Not to mention there are plenty of people pissed because he went to the Spurs. And to top it all off Spurs fans do the same thing to AJ, a starting member of their first le team in this little mini dynasty, which is far more impressive than anythign Finley did in Dallas. Hypocritical much?

Nash got booed in the playoffs last year and he was much more important the last few years than Finley was.
Finley is closer to superstar status than AJ could ever have been.

Bitter much about the Spurs' 3 les? Damn.

Going to your in state rival is a betrayal no matter how you want to cut it.

Regardless, booing him is in no way classless or sorry considering he's now the enemy and he got standing ovations in the regular season. AND you still have the fact that Spurs fans boo AJ and trash him here. Can't have it both ways.

Finley closer to All-Star status? What the is your point? He was released because compared to his 1-2 good seasons, he was average making All-Star money and still is an average player at best. Don't give a about your les, don't know why you'd even bring them up other than to make an ass out of yourself because you have no arguement.

Just like the Dallas media (and fans) to continue bashing Finley when he's not even a part of the team. If he were still taking 15-17 shots and only scoring 6 points while being the 2nd option then I'm sure more fans here would be upset with his performance. But he's lucky if he's 4th (rightly so behind Duncan, Parker, Manu) option and he's not even averaging 7 shots per game in this series. The media and fans fail to recognize his role is way different here but they're so used to ripping him about taking too many shots and not scoring enough points that they can't even write a correct article.

Mike Fisher wrote in one of his articles after game 1 about how Finley launched shots and only scored 7 points while Stack scored a solid 24 points and had a minor goof at the end of the game. I called him on it saying how is 6 shot attempts launching while Stackhouse jacked up 21 and only managed to score 24 points? And if Fin had trapped himself in the corner on that 3pt attempt he would have been flamed instead of having the label of a small goof attached to his name.

I'm not saying that Fin has played well (compared to the Kings series) but he's been far from bad. And at least he's playing within the role he's given and not trying to be more than that.

The Mavs had a remarkably simple way to keep him from going to the Spurs -- all they had to do was not cut him. He didn't ask to go looking for a new job, but since he had to, he tried to find the best situation. Betrayal my ass.

Regardless, booing him is in no way classless or sorry considering he's now the enemy and he got standing ovations in the regular season. AND you still have the fact that Spurs fans boo AJ and trash him here. Can't have it both ways.
I don't like Spurs fans booing AJ either. AJ is great, and if Pop ever retires, I'd love to have AJ coach the Spurs. I'd cheer him, or Sean, or Mario Elie, even if they came back coaching the Lakers.
