Classless Mav Fan is no surprise. Before Fin got there your team was a joke. He helps build the foundation of what you have now and he gets booed?
Great fans you have there.
Not only was the crowd very suprisingly anti-Finley Saturday night but holy radio personalities in DFW have been owning this bas left and right![]()
I remember a line on FoxSports Radio where they were running down the box score and they came to Finley with his 6 points in 27 minutes and they were like "Yea here's Finley with 6 points in 27 minutes, those numbers should sound familiar to Mavs fans." Then the other guy chimed in with something like "Yea and 27 minutes... wow. Spurs fans any time Finley plays 27 minutes you know your team was in trouble and lost the game." I almost pissed myself![]()
But the crowd booing him seemed to make him nervous and hesitant like he was in their first meeting this season so here's hoping they boo him even more.

I don't agree with the booing....but in 2 regular season games in dallas, finley got his standing O. He deserved it. Like I said...I don't agree with it, but it's the playoffs now and when a team is trying to eliminate you, you consider everyone the enemy. Van Exel was great here too....but he doesn't get cheered anymore either. I wouldn't call it classless...it just is what it is.
I still love Finley. It's the playoffs, not exactly the time for brotherly love, kinda the same way AJ is getting razzed by Spurs fans.
Right, kinda like the way AJ has been dissed since, let's see, Game 2?
Someone sound the hypocrisy alarm.
timvp is Avery's biggest fan -- Spurs fans kill him about it. So he's not being a hypocrite.
I wonder what the reception for AJ will be in Game 5 at the AT&T compared to Games 1 & 2 though. I'd expect a lot more booing. In Game 1, I think he nearly got a standing ovation.
AJ didn't make the Spurs perrenial championship contenders. That was Robinson and Duncan. AJ was just a roleplayer. Finley on the other hand helped make the Mavs into what they are now. If it was David Robinson coaching the Mavs right now, then Spur fans would have no right to talk smack about him.
Your fans are booing an All Star player who was just as important as Dirk, Nash, and others when it came to making the playoffs every year? That is ing sad.
Um...you just called the biggest AJ lover and defender in history a hypocrite...His man-love for AJ is legendary.
And you wonder why we think ya'll are a bunch of stupid s. I am sorry...but you guys are complete dumbasses.
You know...being a head won't get you run from this site...but being stupid will. You guys seriously need to get it together.
Here is a starting point for you...
If you don't know what you are talking about...then don't start typing on that keyboard.
Mav Fans are slowly becoming the laughingstock of SpursTalk. Oh wait already there.
It won't really matter what we are on spurstalk when we take this series.
We'll see. Last I checked it's a 7 game series, not 3.
True, but I think tomorrow is the one to win for either team. If Spurs don't win it, I don't see them winning three in a row. If Mavs don't win they have another opportunity but it's just going to get tougher for them.
Agreed.
yeh its the playoffs, stuff him and what he has done for their organisation

the regular season is different, a win doesnt matter as much as it does now. Of course the majority of mavs fans would still love Finley and what he did for the organisation but why would they cheer him and let him feel comfortable during a HUGE playoff series?![]()
He may be a professional but i bet the booing reception was in his head for game 3, especially after getting a welcome reception there during the regular season.
yeah me too. Unfortunately, if the spurs do lose tonight, I think there done. I dont see them winning 3 games in a row either. With Duncans foot and Parkers hip and theigh along with the lack of contributing big men (which would be crucial should we play Detroit in the finals), I dont see it happening. Its a must win for the Spurs.
I thought I saw someone posted that Dirk jokingly told the crowd (in an interview) to boo Fin.
Dallas fans are the worst of all time.
The equivalent isn't AJ, the equivalent would be Ice or DRob. That would just never happen here.
It's the playoffs guy, Finley got standing ovations both times the Spurs came to the AAC this season. You don't cheer an opposing player in the playoffs. Not to mention there are plenty of people pissed because he went to the Spurs. And to top it all off Spurs fans do the same thing to AJ, a starting member of their first le team in this little mini dynasty, which is far more impressive than anythign Finley did in Dallas. Hypocritical much?
Nash got booed in the playoffs last year and he was much more important the last few years than Finley was.
Regardless of what happens, I'm hoping that what you will be is gone.
If Finley had gone to the Pistons, Heat or any other team we might face he wouldn't get booed. The fact that he is now playing for our biggest rival is why he is getting booed. Think of it as when Emmit Smith left the cowboys, had he gone and played for the Redskins or eagles, he would of gotten booed. But he went to Arizona, who isn't a big team rival.
Pissed at who? If it's anybody other than Mark Cuban, you Mavs fans really are as stupid as you post.

Yeah this is just like the Avery situation. Remember when Avery got that enormous contract and then the Spurs cut him under the amnesty clause so they wouldn't have to pay the luxury tax? Just like Finley. That .
