Nah, there's no reason to play that game at this point. The Spurs are getting hosed by the refs. Maybe it's refs intimidated/inticed by Cuban. Maybe it's part of Stern's grand plan to entice more non-basketball fans to watch. Maybe the neocons in concert with Opus Dei, the Freemasons, and the CIA have determined that a Kraut NBA superstar is the first step towards global domination. I don't know. What I do know is that the officiating in this series has been horrid and has been horrid overwhelmingly for one team.

Now we can pretend that the Spurs have lost because of bad D or bad this or that or perhaps we can come to terms with the fact that the Spurs haven't been hosed like that by refs since the '79 ECF.

I agree 100% and have thought that way since I've been on this board. However, the past two games in the 4th qrt the officiating has been blatantly one sided. I can't ignore how bad it was for the first time in my life.
Blah, you haven't been watching the NBA long enough then. Official bias always go to the super-stars, most of the time to those on the defending champs. Remember when Kobe and Shaq used to get ridiculous calls during LA run? Michael Jorday before him. This is why I thought Tim needed to be more agressive tonight, and it almost worked, both of their real centers fouled out, but so did Manu.

Regardless of how the Spurs are playing, they have lost the last two games because of bad calls in the closing seconds of both games. Not just bad calls...HORRIBLE calls. I'm not talking about iffy calls during the rest of the game, where a team can come back and make up for it with good play. These are last second -ups that put the Spurs in the situation of making a difficult last second shot. That's the biggest difference. Bad calls early in a game can be overcome. Calls like the ones that have take the lead away in the last two games...not likely.

Since when does Dirk Nowitzki get calls against Tim Duncan and Tim Duncan can't get a call against DeSagana Flop?

how do you know how long I've been watching the NBA?

I understand bias and accepted it in the laker series, but what the past two games are beyond anything I've ever seen as a long time spurs fan.

I agree. There ought to be an investigation, but there won't. So the Spurs have to play through the bad calls.

You get those free-throws by being agressive with the ball, and when you get to the line you make them.

Spurs have to outscore them like they did phoenix.

Last year we held a big advantage over Phoenix in rebounding. We had more posessions. Those were the days when Nazr wasn't in the dog house and Horry still had legs.

Yeah, the Spurs weren't aggressive tonight. Yeah.

You can play through bad calls during the majority of the game...when there is time left to make a run or to get things going again. But how the are they supposed to play through a horrible call in the closing seconds of a game? Make a difficult game winning shot two games in a row? Is that fair? I think not, and I think the refs should keep their crusty hands out of the outcome...they have done a ty job.

Yet, the Spurs were still up 5 when Nowitzki got 3 ft's after charging into Tim Duncan

Fustration fouls, happened 3 times in game 3 and at least once tonight. A Spurs player will get fouled and it won't be called and he'll go down-court and commit an obvious foul on D.

totally and I'm on record as saying I would be shocked if the spurs didn't come back and win this series. The bad calls is an observation of why the spurs lost. Mavs have a lot of offensive confidence and the spurs d isn't good enough to stop them. The spurs did what it took to win IMO, but they got screwed.

You don't have to tell me about how agressive the Spurs needed to play, I called the line-up before the game, but in clutch time, how many times did Duncan get the ball into his hands in the paint in a good position? Not very many. Why? A lack of penetration and defensive break-downs.

I remember in the Sac-Spurs Series the Refs were better at "Letting them play" and there were a ton of "No-Calls" for both sides. They even said it was the refs letting the players play through on CRUCIAL POSSESSIONS!

MAVS NEVER HAVE GOTTEN A NO CALL" MARK CUBAN... I HOPE WE BLOW HIS TEAMS ASS OUT OF THE WATER THE NEXT GAME AND HOPEFULLY THE NEXT TWO AFTER THAT! HIS INTIMIDATION TACTICS.

With all that being said, one or two bad calls would be ok. But 4 horrible calls down the stretch in the last 3 minutes is way too much.

Yeah but the Refs Evened out the Freethrows towards the 4th quarter for the MAVS...Then all of a sudden Tim, Manu and Bruce get into foul trouble when they've been playing pretty well as to not get too much into foul trouble? WTF? The number in the context of the situation is suspect because the calls came in the Mavs favor at CRUCIAL TIMES.

I still think the Spurs need to put Manu on Jason Terry as sort of what is called a 'monster man', someone that follows Terry through the whole game where-ever he is on the floor. They did a better job stopping Devon Harris, at least for 3.5 quarters, but Stackhouse was incredible making up the scoring for Dallas.

Unfortunately not. But probably someone will do it. You can lookup the play-by-play.

All I do care is that the spurs lost nothing else. No refs no nothing. I don't care about Bavetta or Salvatore or J. Crawford even someone mentioned Javie. Man do the NBA have a one good ref in your opinion? I REALY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THAT cause in 2 years from now the fans will not be remembering how the game was called and in 10 years all what will be known is a champion. NO REFS NO BLAMING NO WHINING, NO CRYING.

You don't know what reality is until it hits you in the face. Yours is probably delayed. The spurs were ed over by calls. It's that simple.
