as long as he can rebound, influence shots, and set good screens and picks, any offense he does provide is gravy. especially if he is effective against quicker 4's on the defensive end.

You're right -- that would be a total win right there. Maybe I'm just being too eager to skip ahead to the gravy.
Its hard to tell from the video, but just imagine this guy before that injury. His athleticsm reminds me of 5-0.
I am excited about him and Scola.
You cannot teach instinct and aggression. Javtokas has that. Radoslav? Not so much. The Spurs could use a big alongside TD whose first thought every time he gets the rock in the paint is about putting someone through the rim.
I'm feeling some screen rolls with TP and Javtokas. There should be a few highlights next season...and a better final outcome.
He had more dunks in that video than Rasho's had in his entire career! Sign him up! lol
Which of the highlights were pre-injury? I'm guessing that one where he flew over that guy and finished with one hand was probably before the motorcycle.
Nice video, though. I'd like the Spurs to sign him up. He looks to be pretty good. The best news I've heard about him is that Israel teams wants him ... and they don't mess around there. They go after and often get the best players in Europe.
The only thing I question is the caliber of his opponents (yes, I know the Euroleague has improved, but still). Anyways, everything else looks great.
So, what's the latest? How good are the chances he'll be a Spur next year?
Thats my first question, second would be if these highlights are before or after his injury?
Spurs will probably have to outbid Maccabi. My hope is he settles for LLE money with hopes of getting a larger contract down the road. However, if Maccabi has him as their number one interest this summer, he could get $2-4M per year from them.
I think those were all post-injury, not sure though. He had the short haircut in all of them. The pre-injury shot the other day showed him getting his head at bottom of backboard level and there were defintely some here that were recent where he got the same eleavtion. That first block was sweet, he rotated quickly back to cover the penetrator. I've seen in games he does a good job covering the pick and roll and gatting back to his man. He's also a quick jumper even in a set postion off of two feet. I see some backdoor oops in young Mr Parker's future.
The one thing the Spurs have going for them is that they own his NBA rights. In the case of Oberto, I think they had to bid a little more since he was a free agent. For Javtokas, the precedent has been set with Manu taking the LLE way back when. Of course, Javtokas is free to decline. But if he wants to play in the NBA...
Sign Him Up!!!
Latest is that he is a Spur at 99%.
lol whats with the NBA voiceovers? "nash to tim thomas!" "oh my, allen iverson!"![]()
anywho, the video footage was SICK! this guy seems ready for the NBA. let him play in the summer leagues, evaluate him and see where he stands, along with scola.
Another lengthy highlight video of Jav:

You might wanna mute the sound on this video. The music is...![]()
Scola and Javtokas will play with their NT this summer.
Summer leagues are uselles to evaluate them. Both have played at a way higher level than summer leagues with their NT (olympic games) and with their team (euroleague).
There's a reason Manu and Oberto never played summer league but Tony Parker did.
If anyone wants to know if some highlights are pre or post injury, just compare rosters.
I was questioning this too...
Some of his best games of the season came against CKSA...the eventual Euroleague Champion...including his season high in rebounds(15) in the playoffs....er or whatever it was..not the playoffs but something like that.
Manu did well in the Euroleague, so it's not like that doesn't carry any weight.
I second this.
