Okay, I'll rephrase it but at the risk of it not making it sound any better.
How about...
I've read that RC and his family have opened their home to another student athlete recently. I have forgotten the name of the kid but he went to school and played basketball locally. He is a center.
Much better.

Cameroon's Alexis Mang-Ikri Wangmene is the one who lives with RC. He's been here at Central Catholic since his Sop re year (04-05). I think he's about 6'9 now and he's 17.
This guy is raw and was even rawer few years ago.
Look at his bio, you need to be athletic to be good at shot put.
That's why, I've said if. There likely are better solutions elsewhere even if 7 footers aren't easy to find.
So there are others out there who are closer to being able to contribute. If a basketball weighed 16 pounds, I'd agree that's a transferable skill.Look at his bio, you need to be athletic to be good at shot put.Amen to that. That's why, I've said if. There likely are better solutions elsewhere even if 7 footers aren't easy to find.
You need to be quite explosive to be good at shot put, it's not only based on strength.
Definitely not if he couldn't bench 185 even once.
As said a great man :
If a basketball weighed 185 pounds, ...
I'll buy you his jersey if he makes the team.
How the heck is a guy that big not able to bench 185?
Thanks Kori!
I think Earl Boykins lifts more than that, and he weights 185 I think. How the heck is a guy that big not able to bench 185?
I'm not going to excuse the guy not being able to do it once...but big tall guys usually aren't that great at bench...
Even if you look at that list, lots of big guys weren't doing as many reps of that weight as the 6'5 shooting guards.
Reminds me of when the Cowboys drafted Alexander Wright and he graded out as the second strongest guy on the team in the bench.
Still, there's no excusing the guy not even doing it once.
Maybe it is so easy for him he thought they wre joking when they asked him,
Maybe N/A means he didnt attempt it and Earl Boykins is famous for being able to bench over 300 lbs. They bring it up like every game I've seen Boykins play in.
