Another soft backup PF, just what we need
I wish that they were willing to let go of Danny Granger for the cheap but it ain't gonna happen.
Another soft backup PF, just what we need
That's exactly what I thought; plus Croshere is an expiring deal while Daniels is on the books through 2010.
I'm not real sure why dallas ,or houston for that matter, is so high on this guy. I don't think I woud miss a wink of sleep if he signed with either team.
james is dumb. he's gonna a lot less playing time in dallas than if he had gone somewhere else.
Daniels isn't a bad player by any means - he just hasn't improved at all in three years. What's the matter with him is his ugly, ugly, UGLY contract.
After years of waiting for Croshere's contract to expire, the Pacers saddle up with another one.
I'd give up Oberto/Udrih/Bowen for a Granger.
Assuming we could replace Udrih with a Pargo.
I combined both Mavs related threads if this is going to be in the Spurs forum.
Man, warn a brotha before you do that. I thought I was having deja vu.
By the way "man" is just an exclamation.![]()
I will sign all the 6'10 and up White jump shooting Power Forwards in the NBA. It was very important for me to sign Croshere because he brings nothing like what Dirk and KVH bring. I'm wearing Wrangler jeans and a WalMart sweater by the way.
Can you stop trolling in the Spurs forum and just switch back to your other user name?
Thanks.
I wouldn't go as far as giving up Bowen but Granger would be perfect to come off the bench behind him. He really suprised a lot of people last year and has a lot of potential. But its all just a pipe dream.![]()
KVH is a FA & they dont expect him back..so they got a replacement with an expiring contract.
I'm pissed about the Daniels trade.
I kind of saw it coming though. Just not for Austin Croshere.
That's what I was thinking.
James to the Mavs as well!? What are they thinking? Now they have 3 small PGs, all of whom they will want to play. Is James or Harris going to play SG consistently?
I have this sort of su ion that Cuban signed James just to keep him away from the Spurs. It makes so little sense, Cuban has to be involved, and he doesn't do anything without thinking about the Spurs.
Really? I hate Cuban just as much as the next Spur fan but I love these faux posters...Him, David Stern, Doug Collins, they can "troll" all they want though I don't see anything wrong or annoying about it...
Another divison rival improves their talent and gets stronger while the Spurs do nothing.
BTW, how many swingmen does Indiana have now? 3? 4?
wat confidence? beno will always shoot it when his free, unlike barry who doesnt know what to do with the ball when his free to shoot.
beno has better foot lateral quickness compared to parkers speed, but defensive wise, beno usually hustles alot.
daniels is a great player....but he is one of those guys who needs 20-30 minutes a game to get going.
Him and Josh Howard were battling for that spot, but Josh became a better player in the end. Daniels just looked slower but did shine in Nelly's system.
To address random points in this thread.
First off, the trade was to dump a bad contract. Nothing more. Much like the Spurs didn't trade Radoslav because they think Eric Williams is Bowen's replacement.
Secondly, the Spurs would never have gone after Mike James. Not that I necessarily agree, but let's be real.
James fits their program. Croshere will serve his purpose with his contract and I'm sure he can fit in spots.
Forget the Croshere part, a lot of people in this thread are kidding themselves when they blow off the James signing. The Mavs just got deeper on the perimeter, meanwhile we've got Tony, Manu, and a couple of 30+ year olds.
