This was a good move for one reason only:
If they would have kept Bonner and Marks. the rest of the team would become distracted. trying to figure out who to make fun of. therefore loosing games and missing the playoffs.
Great move.
I liked when he did color for us. Gotta love the accent. He wasn't bad either.

I still have the game he commented on. I watched it the other day.
No, sorry.
No problem.![]()
Our human victory cigar is gone. I'm glad that he is not taking up a roster spot anymore when we could bring in some young talent to develop.
I like Sean Marks, I like his game and his dunks.
I'm glad he got traded though, it looks like he will play more in Phoenix than he did with the Spurs.
The only highlight I remember from him is when he did an alley-oop with Nick Van Exel in New York.
Let's be fair. The guy wasn't just a cheerleader. He busted his ass in practice and during training camp to make our big guns better. So, not just a cheerleader - a cheerleader/punching bag combo.![]()
I went to a game in April 2005 when we played the Grizzlies. We were blowing them out and in garbage time someone threw Marks an alley-oop that he threw down hard with two hands. Good stuff. Also, remember after the final buzzer of the 2005 championship when he held up Manu while he was pumping his fist. I'll always remember that one. Good luck Kiwi!
Because he was fairly productive during short stints during the season, I really thought Pop would have "bit the bullet" and used Marks in spot duty to guard Dirk during the WCSF. I thought his length and quickness would have been useful to the team in short situations. Plus he could "shoot the rock so you wouldn't necessarily lose out on offense. Maybe I'm dreaming.
That would have been a nightmare, not a dream.

can you imagine Sean Marks dropping a dagger on the Spurs in next years playoffs? lol, that would freaking hurt.
I liked Marks a lot. He did more offensively than Rasho. He had more dunks than Rasho. He attempted more shots than Rasho. Okay, maybe I am over doing it, but everytime he entered the game he was not afraid to put it up or throw it down. He was very agrresive on offense so that should do him well in Phoenix since all they do is play offense.
Once upon a time on the Atlanta Hawks bench there was a player named Boris Diaw. On a similar story, once upon a time the Chicago Bulls waived a player named Tim Thomas. Could Mark become the next "nobody" to shine under the Sun's system?
Kiwi = Championships
We are doomed!

"Fear This Fro"
see yas later Kiwi
I liked him, he actually had an outside shot. I wish him well as a Sun. So much for the All-whitey team.
Good Luck to the Kiwi!
Kiwi is going to go and sabotage the Phoenix Suns... all part of CIA Pop's plan. or Kiwi just being someone who had to replace Paul Shirley on the injured reserve.

Sean Marks is a hustler. I hope he gets the minutes he deserves. Good luck to him in Phoenix.
It was always funny, when the spurs were up by 20 and he'd come in and throw down some sick alley oop, that nobody knew he had in him.
He was very aggresive on offense because he only got to play in garbage time and then usually only a couple of minutes. No aggression = no shot ops
That said, I think he's got a shot to contribute in Phoenix. I find it amuzing, though, that the original story said they were looking for insurance in case Amare can't come back. If Sean is insurance, he's like a $10K accidental death policy with LOTS of exclusions.
