no doubt. t.u. fans (my friends that went to the school) always ask me what is life going to be like without Bush, Leinart, and White....and i am like you just lost VY!!! that was half your team and the qb coming in now has never taken a snap. while on the other hand, USC will have a great defense and an offense that should still be tremendous.
Okay, and who are your QB's? It's not like they are overly game tested. I know Booty looks sharp, but he's coming off back surgery. I do have concerns about McCoy, but Texas has one of a line, and the best situation at WR since Roy and BJ. left. The defense should be a good once again, and Chizik hasn't been involved in a loss in like 32 games or something. That said I expect USC and Texas to lose a couple of games at least. Try not to be so deluded about USC.

    1. 48-4 in the last four seasons, including a tremendous streak
    2. two national championships
    3. go and look at the recruiting classes at either rivals or scout
    4. btw, anybody is capable of losing A GAME, that has no bearing on overall class strength....especially one in which USC handed to t.u.
And you say Texas has the y fans.

Vince carried UT last year and that's the only reason you won the NT
brutalis you watched the game right?
texas stopped usc on 4th down
then they stopped them again to win the game

when you say stupid like that it makes people think youre an 18 year old chode from arkansas who likes to spout off hackneyed from sportscenter

They caused LenDale White's first fumble of the season and Matt Leinart's second interception of the season, and the only real break out reggie bush play they allowed was that 30 yard sprint down the sideline, and a very long TD pass to Jarett.

Ramonce Taylor had a 36 yard TD run Brutalis, what say you about that?

And this was supposed to be an unstoppable greatest of all time team.

I guess it sucks being an ARK fan, gotta try to bring other teams down to make yourslef feel better.

Texas got a free touchdown via the youngx2 option. But then Texas got an interception on Leinart in the 2nd quarter that was not even reviewed. So they cancelled out and I consider it an evan swap. Texas would have scored that TD with even more time for maybe another score in that dominating 2nd quarter.

Dude VY carried you guys all year. That's all I'm saying. Some of you take it out of context as if I am saying without him you guys would have lost everything. Of course you wouldn't have been successful without him but still, VY carried Texas like Marino carried the Dolphins back in the day.

Yeah, that would have been first down in the red zone anyway, and Texas was rolling over Carroll's terrific defensive gameplan. For a while Texas was unstoppable offensively, and I'm sure the outstanding O-line had nothing to do with it. Vince was the man, but he had some weapons.

They were completely utterly incapable of stopping Texas no huddle offense in the 2nd and 4th. They seriously completed 9 passes in a row, and jamaal charles was rushing out of the no huddle for like 10 yards per carry.

Pete said himself at half time they had to do something about the no huddle, but in the end, it was Greg Davis calling QB draws at the gayest possible times, coupled with good USC blitzing that stopped our offense in the 3rd.

Where is Oregon in your rankings? They are definitely a Top Ten team this year. You will see when they take care of Oklahoma.

They will beat Oklahoma easily in Eugene. The Ducks have a great team this year.

...i like Oregon a lot. i still cannot believe they lost to ou last year in the holiday bowl; i hope they destroy ou this year.

They could beat OU, but there is no way they will destroy OU. The defense and running game will be too good for them to get blown out. It could happen maybe against a great team, but not Oregon. But why am I responding to a Tlong prediction, he always wrong.

while on the other hand, USC will have a great defense !
i nominate this for quote of the year

i mean seriously great? and if you didnit already read, UT once again has a badass defense. so giving up 38 pts isnt great, considering how good usc was and the avg points they scored last year in a game AND the fact taht it was the NC game. i mean come on, who could shut out usc in that situation, other than an nfl team.

UT has great options on offense and defense. yea losing VY sucks but not as bad as losing a quarter of your starting offense

i was juyst saying i was nominating your post for quote of the year and then going on to defend ut in a separate paragraph

    english language > joo

btw ut, and johngateswhitely this is again a separate thought from your posts so please dont get confused, shut down reggie bush and owned usc as a whole on several different occasions. yes we all agree losing vy sucks but is not the end of the world and as mookie pointed out in his rankings, we still have a damn good team. and please, some respoect for the champions would be nice

As far as I know our defense didn't get shredded by Notre Dame and Fresno State. USC's did. Enough said.
